Revenue Sharing Mod for phpBB

For those of you who may be using our script, this is just a heads up that we've now released the newest version of this MOD. Here's the list of changes we've made in the last 2 updates:

2006-09-10 - Version 0.03
- Ads now do not display on posting.php, ad_profile.php
and profile.php. This is to prevent breaking the
Google AdSense ToS.

2006-08-24 - Version 0.02
- Created new .SQL file
- The problem of ads not rotating fixed.
- Publisher ID check now more accurate.
- The problem of not being able to insert publisher
IDs and channels have been fixed.
- Now a user will not be shown their on ads. This is to
prevent click fraud and accidental clicks.

Sorry - at present it isn't compatible with easymod.

And I have excluded posting.php and profile.php as they are not considered as content pages. If you would like to show the ads on posting.php & profile.php etc... just install v0.02. :)

.rar? How are you supposed to install that type of file? I'm not familiar with it. It never works for me.

Rar is a compressed archive just like .zip. Get winrar from rarlabs dot com to extract the contents within.

This particular mod isn't for IPB but I'm sure that someone would have written a similar MOD for it. Have you tried searching on Google for it?

I'm already displaying adsence in the forum, no rev sharing but i do have adds.

Keeping in mind that I'm horribly ignorant here.. is there anything I should know before i start installing this mod?

PS.. I am looking through the readme though, and I have to say THANK YOU FOR USING PLAIN ENGLISH! Most mods make me lose large chunks of hair before i even get started ;)

Hi Darkhodge, I am using Categories Hierarchy (sub-forums) version of PHPbb and it seems the instruction is not working in the current mod.

PinoyIto: I am not familiar with the categories hierarchy mod so cannot really comment on the issue you are having. You maybe able to get help from other members in the "phpBB ad share mod" category of my forum on the site in my sig.

I know this thread is OLD , BUT

I did a SEARCH on dp and found YOU to be the only onbe really with this type of Mod,

Is the Mod still good?

Is there any updates since this post a year ago?

Does the Mod still work with the latest DL of phpbb 2

The latest version of the MOD is v0.04 and can be downloaded here:

I don't think there should be any issues if you are using phpBB2, however I would recommend you make backups of the files you edit just in case. The installation is a manual process but only takes 5 minutes, so it is well worth giving it a go IMO.
