$20 Contest for 2 simple Images [ require them ASAP ]

Hi fellas

I want to add an " Subscribe our RSS " button on my site. and I also want to promote a Windows Mobile RSS client along with it.


so I need 2 images size restrictions
width = when both images are put together it should not be more than 450
height = 100

site : 1800pocketpc.com (http://www.1800pocketpc.com/)

Payment : $10 x 2 ( made out via Paypal )

1st Image should contain
1) the text along these lines " Subscrible to our RSS feed "
2) an RSS icon


2nd Image should contain
1) the text along these lines " Download Free Windows Mobile RSS Reader "
2) a PDA icon ( something that looks like a Windows Mobile touchscreen device, NOT an iPhone )

Color : Feel free to mix n match any color
something in Green and Red maybe

Its very simple, can you edit the text to be a bit smaller and change it to " "Get our RSS feed". I will wait for a few more entries and see how it turns out.

Love the background for the 1st one. But the text on both the images looks odd and hard to read. also can you try the 2nd one with out the pda icon. It just dosent look right

It absolutely amazes me....not only what can pass for art, but the degree of loss of self respect it must take to call oneself an artist; as not only to you delude yourself with this three degrees of photoshop mess that I see before me, but you inflict it not only on the world, but hard working people, with small websites, that trust you know what you are doing. I could teach this particular client to click three times as you have as well to sell him these pictures...I know I will be banned, but as an Artist, I am absolutely sick of your own personal creative work ethics. I assume you are talking about using the free RSS icons? Please correct me if I am wrong...

No, I am not talking about the RSS...what I am talking about, and why I use this account to rant, is I work my heart out, study, take photo's, paint...all to add to my digital design palette...and leading the design team of a company that does some business here, I finally just couldn't take what people sell as a finished product. 80% of what I see both in previews and in portfolio's in this site show me a landscape with no passion for the art end of the job. I see a bunch of kids with photoshop, who are not even taking the time to click more than two simple, pre-made effects before selling it to someone.

Today's economy is much different than before...I think morality as a business has hit an all time priority, as people getting laid off are turning more and more to online business to feed their households. It's no longer the playground of the "informed", real people are putting real plates of dinner on real tables doing these sites...and I think, as someone who is proud to call myself a Graphic Artist, we have a certain responsibility...a greater responsibility now...to make sure these people, and all customers, get the very best of our work, to give them the very best chance at their own.

I apologize for the rant, but some of us are still passionate about the field.

You have to keep in mind what forum we are in. We are in the contest forum.
You also have to keep in mind the price tag.

You can't expect a real work of art for an RSS banner...

@ BlastDamage : Like the 1st set better. RSS one is perfect. can you put some more variations for the 2nd one. different icon and a few other color combination ?
