I've noticed that when I design a new page in HTML, and link it from my homepage the new page is indexed and ranking in Google within 24/48 hours, which is awesome, but if the new page is PHP it takes much longer to get indexed and ranking. So far it's taken a new PHP page 4 days and not indexed yet.

Anyone noticed this? Or is it common knowledge and I'm slow on the uptake? :D

My sites are 100% dynamic, with tons of PHP, and updates go into the index daily for all of them.

I've just completed a php site and linked it from one of my others and the home page was crawled and indexed within 24 hours.

i have found this to only be an initial problem but once page(s) have been indexed once they are re-indexed like normall html pages would be

So mod_rewrite the URL's (or you could ForceType all .html documents to be parsed as PHP) if you think it really affects crawling time. ;)

I don't want to mod rewrite.

I'd like to see evidence of indexing and ranking within 24 hours for PHP pages, not seen any evidence of this.

It takes an age for mine to be indexed also, I always add to site map, I use sigs, even point some weight to it. Still seems to take about 7-10 days!!

My book store at my genealogy site was indexed in less then 24 hours as a php site without the mod rewrite installed. I know this occured in 24 hours because I wrote the mod rewrite code the next day and my pages are indexed as php, not html.

site:www.familyseekers.org/genealogy-books
Results 1 - 10 of about 37 from www.familyseekers.org/genealogy-books for...

MY MC site is indexed already as is the computer site, but just the index.php so far.

This is not science, but it seems from this small thread that its uk users who are indexed more slowly!! (load of bollox I think but worth a laugh)
