I have seen results for my “martial arts supplies” site where google search results vary geographically, in US location my search results for keywords “martial arts supplies” comes up on 8th position on first page where rest location its on top on first page. Can anyone tells me why its like that? Does google use different data centres for search results? Or, is there anything more reasons behind this, please do advice me…

The search results may vary depending on server location and the incoming text links originating countries means your site might be getting more backlinks from the websites located in different countries than US.

yes it's vary.i think google has websites for every country. eg google.jp for japan etc. if you do the same search in google.jp and google.fr, you may see the difference. some local websites changes!!

Yep! Results vary geographically to some extent. Try to get links from country-specific domains if you're aiming for a particular country.

Yes it does vary as Google is quite focused on local search.

Depends on what you're searching for most of the time. If you're looking for "martial arts supplies" then Google will probably show you local results because it's a shopping or service term.
Try searching for "plumber" and you can see how Google geo-targets your results.

Yes. Google search results vary geographically. One of the main factor that influences the Google search results is the domain extensions. For example a .com.au or a .au website would rank higher in google.com.au than in google.com or on other google website. Another factor that makes google's search results to vary from country to country is the origin of the backlinks to your website. If your website has lots of backlinks from websites from Turkey, than it would rank higher in google.com.tr

Yes google serves results from different datacenters around the world. The result is served from DC closest to you.

Yes the results would change automatically based on the servers locations and the ISP IP address you are using while accessing the Google web pages.
