Well as you can see the title says it all. Wondering whether anyone has tried this? Or do you think that this code will work for each search no matter what kind of engine they will be using. In the meantime i will send adsense support a email to ask if it is possible and if not whether they are going to implement it.

I don't think so.

You set it to either search Google or user specified sites.

Actually, maybe when you set the custom sites to Froogle and Local then it might work. I doubt it though since it's done via a site: command and Froogle results aren't indexed...

Hello ####,

Thanks for your email. I understand that you would like to see AdSense for
Search integrated with other Google services such as Froogle. While we do
not currently provide these features to publishers, I have noted your
request and we will consider it as we move forward. We will be sure to
contact you when we have more information available.

We appreciate your taking the time to offer us this feedback and encourage
you to continue to let us know how we can improve Google AdSense. As we
are always looking for ways to optimize our program, new features are
under consideration and your feedback is very helpful.

For additional questions, please visit our AdSense Support site at
https://www.google.com/support/adsense or feel free to reply to this
email.

We'd also like to encourage you to let us know how we can improve our
customer support. Please take a few minutes to fill out our brief survey
at http://www.insightexpress.com/s/Google.asp?uid=5&resetposition=true.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

#####
The Google AdSense Team

Lets hope they will soon implement this.
