$30 Logo Contest - www.OurDay.ch - 48 Hours

Hi DP'rs,

After over a year, I am back with another contest.

For the people who entered my last contest (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=830932), please accept my apologies for not bringing it to completion. The client walked and then I had a few issues of my own to contend with.

Raghav / Watari / IM3D - You will get a PM after this.

Brief:
I have a client who will be starting a new wedding website - www.ourday.ch

A logo is required that is themed around weddings and the words Our Day.

All colouring should be soft pastels, no harsh lines or colour schemes. It should be classical, unique and memorable.

End file format should be in layered PSD. The text for the www & .ch must be on a seperate layer to the logo, as it is hoped that the .com will be purchased soon.

Should look good in web and in print.

Deadline:
48 hours from now - 00:15 CET (Extension only if nothing suitable)

Payment:
Prompt payment Via PayPal.


In summary I am glad to be back designing and back on the forum, best of luck to all who enter.

This competition will end in 48 hours with a winner guaranteed.

As promised here is the feedabck so far. I do appreciate the time you have taken so far.

some1nu - I Like the font,the birds dont work for me though.

andrej - Sorry M8, It's cant see how this is wedding themed.

mutanzgaming - The people just look a bit odd, try a sillohette, good font choice.

qw3rtty - Maybe 2 rings? and a 1 colour font ;-)

^_^DesignGuru - There is something about this, I really like. A proper coloured sun and a touch more life to the rose. Softer font

Panic! - Like the sillohette figures, just not the design behind it.

jnjnnino - Like the 2 tone, the ring idea is good but not 2 diamond rings! authtic looking rings work for me.

Olli - Use 1 font - and for the image something more feminine

1 more thing as stated in the brief: the site is www.OurDay.ch - if we can get our hands on it the .com will come later, hence layers required.

Keep up the gr8 work.

While reading the design-brief itself I'd thot to make the letter 'O' like a ring..

Well you guys are really going for it again. In 25 hours the response & quality has been amazing.

Updated Feedback:

winterrose_black - Too much going on here, it a logo contest not header, sorry dude.

Darkstone - I like. Simple effective. Can you show 1 without the ring and a captial O & D - oh and .ch

Olli - I like again simple, effective. Is it poss to show the rings not so flat?

Panic - Sorry dude these are really nice but the background has way too much going on. Try text at bottom of people.

jnjnnino - Like the concept O & D for the ring heads. Make Our Day larger rings smaller so the rings are not the main focus

creative-rascal - I like. Can I see a solid color version, the glow/glare is too much, other colors also would be good ;-)

qw3rtty - Great font, proper rings. Dunno about the feathers.

graphicsunplug - This is good, but where would the .ch go?

neonic547 - Correct me if I am wrong but is that 2 woman in picture. Font way too harsh. Love the 2 head concept.

herenow - Lovely shades, maybe a little too simplistic

Neonic - Excellent effort, can you show another font. Love the heart.


This contest will be defo decided tomorrow night, by me and the client. Who I meet tomorrow at 7 CET.
5 Hours before the deadline.
If I suggest changes and you want to make them good, the more people in the contest the better.

However if you dont wish to amend your original entry, this is totally understandable and I thank you for your effort and time.

I am really lookin forward to the next 22+ hours.

jnjnnino - go with top design, but 'our day' needs to be about another 15/20% bigger in comparison to the rings.

I need to go sleep now, next feedback will be in roughly 7-10 hours.

This was a very tough judgement to make.

All entries have been worthy but there can only be 1 winner.
