I just got a notice booklet from checkmatesettlement.com
Some extracts from the booklet :
This notice informs you of a proposed settlement of class action claims against Yahoo! Inc, for the sake of brevity and clarity.
WHY DID I RECIEVE THIS NOTICE ? You recieved this notice because a search of Yahoo!'s Computer records indicate that you are a current or former Yahoo! account holder who bid or paid for advertising placement on Yahoo! Search Marketing System at some point betweek January1,1998 and July 31,2006.
This Notice, given pursuant to an order of the court dated June 28, 2006 describes a proposed settlement of a class action against Yahoo!, and you have been indentified as a Class Person.
Class Counsel will request that the court awards them attorney's fees and expenses. They intend to request 49,50,000$ in attorney's fees plus costs in an amount not to exceed 25000$.
Iam not personally going to support this claim action, so i think i dont need to even mail them.
Did anyone of you get this?
