google maps, passing location variable to leftFrame

i am building a google map. i am trying to pass location variables to the leftFrame of my frameset. using other peoples code i have managed to pass the variables to a sidebar within a table. does anyone know how to pass the variables to the leftFrame? i.e. phelps dodge superfund site will show up as a clickable link in the left frame of my frameset.
