View Full Version : Does Yahoo not index sites with Google Adsense?

I've noticed something about my traffic, and that is that I don't seem to get any traffic from Yahoo. I get traffic from MSN and Google...but no Yahoo. I wonder if they block sites that use Google Adsense - since they are competing with adsense? Or perhaps I am missing something. I submitted my site here

http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html

Anyone else using adsense notice the same problem?

I am going to take a wild guess and say that yahoo is not indexing new sites at this moment. Or it might be the case that it takes a couple of weeks until yahoo adds new sites to it's index. Currently I have a site that is about month old and ranks well in both MSN and Google (page 1 on a few search terms), but it is not indexed in Yahoo. My site does have google adsense, but I doubt that Yahoo would sink that low to attack a competitor. Just my two cents...

Right, yahoo is slowest to index new site. Google and MSN picksup fast. Yahoo Indexing depends on the age of the site

Yahoo index website with adsense find, but a lot of the times, the keywords that your website ranks well on Google and MSN is not the same as Yahoo.

I've heard the rumors before - but I have sites doing well in Yahoo with Adsense and sites with YPN not doing so well in Google... to me it seems the opposite. ;)

I have experience with even new sites that are shown no prejudice for having adsense on them. However, I do agree that its much more difficult to get rankings in Yahoo...when it seems easier in Google and MSN. For whatever reason, on some niches this is the case.

Your guess is as good as mine.

I think it does play a roll at some point, but it's not algorithmic...

I have a site that had no problem being indexed and was running adsense. Try using the site explorer to get some more information on whats happening with your website pages.

All my sites have adsense on them and everyone is listed in Yahoo, So I doubt that statement is true.

Yesterday I submitted my site to Yahoo Site Explorer and today I have 2 pages in Yahoo's index. I have no clue if SE helped, but I do like the site feed functionality.

Doing that would probably mean Yahoo not indexing most of the web's sites.. Competinacy - xcuse the spellin- would never reach that point.

There is one answer that we can use for everything in the seo world. ' Get more backlinks '. Well it might be the solution for you, i don't know the site but i really don't think its because of adsense that you do not get traffic from yahoo.

I agree the age of a site with yahoo is very inportant.
