Need a logo for Yumm.com. The site is mostly about cooking and recipes, but also about fitness, health and travel. Payment is via paypal and immediate.

I am offering so much because I would like a really great logo. There is no tagline, I just want a logo of 'Yumm.com'

either the website colors will need to be modified or the logo, but I think red is more catchy rather than orange

@kostas13 first entry: cool concept, just hard to see the characters and it seems kind of random.. need something cleaner

@jackieh1791 great entry! almost too much red I would throw some other colors in there but I like it. Maybe a strawberry instead of a cherry? I like the concept but the cherry seems kind of lonely..

@kostas13 second entry: the font is kinda plain and again it seems kind of random with the character and the semi-atomic symbol

@gamelord forgive me for being honest but not into it. font is super plain and the kids face seems almost creepy... thanks though.

@onlyfights cool, just plain and the left part of the y is kind of... limp.

@deraya i like how you put the Y and the m together, cool. the big logo seems kind of too simple, but I like this entry too.

@xluciusx I like the Y and the .com part but it seems like you rushed everything in between that. nice entry but not quite what we are looking for.

@debitcredit WOAH on the textures and colors. cool shapes but seems a bit much

@jokomamamita: I like the heart shaped strawberry, but the rest of the logo seems a bit.. halloweenish?

@itrungs: i like this style logo we have gotten a couple of them. the .com seems a little lost in yours, but the concept is good.

@galpgaree2 my favorite of yours (they are all pretty good) is #2.. I like the painted style of the images to the left, maybe carry the brushstrokes concept through the text?

@MantisArt nice, professional looking logo. The yellow/green color scheme is a little too mello yello for me, and the banana maybe too chiquita, but great overall effort I would love to see a second entry from you

@mrEdesign wow I REALLY like this one, early front runner for sure. the colors are great and it just really pops visually. the little vector fruits and leaf are cool, but the leaf seems odd out there by the Y. What if there was a fresh bunch of fruit all the way across the logo from the Y to the end of the last m, just taking up that white space created by the capital Y? love what you did with the .com too.

Oh yeah its much better in the bigger size. Nice work! I think the red is a bit much, this would be like a specialty logo to use on christmas or valentine's day :) Put some color in there!

Believe me, it´s nothing against you in particular, but: using stock images as the main part of a logo design is the equivalent to selling someone his own ass. And not telling right away that you use a stranger´s work as your own doesn´t make it any better.

There are load os site that offer royalty free images, for example istock - fotolia ... i bought it from fotolia ....

Someone left me this negative rep : very bad. using copyrighted images to win the contest. be creative.

Calm down dude. I do this on threads if i see it. I inform, i don't try to slate the individual. Some people don't know all the rules and regs of design and that's fine, but some of us who try to make a living out of it have to be more careful. Yes you've been on this forum for 2.5 years, but i've been in the art and graphics industry for nearly half my life. I've tried to be reasonable about it, and to pass on necessary info to help you in future, but if you're going to act unprofessionally about it, I honestly cannot be bothered.

It is totally irrelevant if it´s illegal or not. If you work for a client, there is a single important rule: Don´t harm your client. When you use stock images there is the obvious risk that someone else will use exactly the same image.

After you´ve pretended to be pleased by the compliments for "your" work before, you shouldn´t complain if it rained down negative feedback.

Outspoken as always Manzanvil, and as ever not completely correct. One person called me out. I showed my case and that i designed it myself. Said individual who commented on my work gave no source to backup his claim, and never came back with any after i asked him to.

I am not Tight Design, and to be honest wish i was as good a designer as he is when it comes to the logos and such on here. In fact i take it as a compliment that you think me as good as he is, to believe that we are on the same level.

It's not about eliminating the competition, it's about stating the situation. But using your analogies, i'd rather be a "cop" or "cop tool" than whatever the opposite must be, and using your terms, that must be a "criminal". One does it right, and one does it wrong. And any that cannot backup their claim, feel they have to fight back, or attack others rather than claiming a lack of knowledge that they'd done wrong in the first place must have something to hide, or a knowledge that they are in the wrong.

If you are going to attack someone, please make sure that you get your facts straight before doing so.
