How much a blog can make money...
Domain parking is now almost outdated... Rather divert your domain to your blogs and increase your revenue.
I did used to be a domain parker but ended up with little.

There is definitely profit in domain parking assuming you have QUALITY DOMAINS with natural traffic. That's pretty much the ONLY equation needed with parking: TRAFFIC. NATURAL TRAFFIC!
And I'm sorry you make only $1/month from domain parking. Others make much, much more. Thankfully, I am not in the same boat. Domain parking is a huge chunk of my online revenue.

fka200 has it right: The key to domain parking is natural traffic. Even if your parked blog domain initially makes some money, that traffic will most likely die off eventually. I think that's a lot of the reason why the trend is heading towards developing domains rather than parking them.
So, given the right domains, you can make money parking them. But for those of us who aren't rich or lucky enough to get quality domains to park, developing them is usually the better option.

The answer is vary depend on many situation.
If you park a newly registered domain then it will earn less.
But if you park a old and established domain, then you will earn a lot.

Well, firstly make a site with the domain.
Get huge traffic on the site.
Close down the site without informing your visitors.
Park the Domain.
You'll get visitors who'll click on the Ads.
YOu earn $$$$
Simple

If Sythe.org suddenly backed up their site for a month and parked it some how, they would make tons...or even this site.

@above:
Advertising your services.. lol
People park domains not because they can't afford to host or get a cheap hosting. In 95% of the cases, they do not have time to maintain, or knowledge or content.
it's better to launch a blog, hire someone to rewrite good no. of PLR articles, publish, advertise, SEO , adsense nd then.. you can earn much more than a parked page :)

It's hard to get good money out of parked domains unless you do good promotion of domain.
It's worth a try though.

WRONG!!!
Picked up a FRESH REG never been registered before 2 weeks ago that has already made $25 in domain parking. Steady income, generic keywords.
