I have redesigned the homepage for my website www.liveonlinechat.net Let me know what you think for seo and style.

The design to me seems a little dated. especialy the "keeping the world in touch" across the Globe.

Also your speech bubble graphics are all pixelated you should clean those up.

I agree with bonar about the images.

additionally
* styles should be in a css file and not on the page
* styles need to be rethought and get rid of as many of the style attributes in the html by using the css properly
* what's with the image map or whatever they're called. I thought they went out with the ark?!
* the chat link takes you to another site

the forum is fine, just very quiet. Can't be a bad thing that you already have a "sarah" in there :)

Your other site with the chat failed to load. Very retro having a free chat room. Didn't know people still did those either.

It looks like and 'old-fashioned' website. Make it look fresh and modern.

What would you do to update it? I am not too good with design. I am using Serif X2.

Well, your html is showing where a banner is supposed be. I agree that you need a better logo. Something that doesn't require a black background to look good. Then you could get rid of the fade. I would suggest that you research sites you like. What is it that you like about them? What makes them easy to navigate? How do they capture attention? Don't copy but fuse the different elements that appeal to you into your own style. Hope this is constructive for you. Good luck.

Before I changed the homepage it looked like this http://www.2012chatroom.com I didnt like it at all! Since I changed it to www.liveonlinechat.net the traffic has increased quite a lot. I want to get it perfect though, I think it is a lot better than the first homepage. Thank you for all your help.
