Easy Web Re-Design Contest $200

Last week I submitted a design for a widget and got really good results.

Now I need a home and business profile page. One winner will get $200 via paypal.

1. The homepage I need would be a cross between these two sites.
Example Site 1 (http://www.goodrec.com/)
-I like how they have 3 boxes on top that tell what the sites does.
-I like the two columns. One column for recently updated businesses. One column for popular on goodrec, popular rec'ers, and top categories

Example Site 2 (http://getsatisfaction.com/companies)
-I like the two columns. One column for recently added businesses and one column for recently updated businesses.


************************Business Profile Page*************************************

2. The business profile I need would be a cross between these two links.
Example Profile 1 (http://goodrec.com/restaurants/mountain-view-ca/fiesta-del-mar-too-7/)
-I like how all the business information is on the right column with the google map

Example Profile 2 (http://getsatisfaction.com/twitter)
-I like the top with the company logo and name
-I like the top menu for

* Support Topics
* Products
* People
* Overheard
* About

but I would have menu tabs instead of links
-I like the right column with the Product and services and Tags
-I won't have a text box to create a new feedback post, instead I would just have the "Start a new support topic" button
-I like the feedback posts are color coordinated by feedback type.

*Just the image as a psd file. No code required
*Has to be a unique design.
*Simple but have web 2.0ish look
*Choose colors that go well with logo

We actually want to move away to the current layout on our site. Your design reminds me of what we already have.

*I'm actually thinking about removing the video demo, so you can remove that from the mock up
*Can you make the homepage layout look more like a cross between these two sites: Example Site 1 (http://www.goodrec.com) and Example Site 2 (http://www.getsatisfaction.com/companies)?

*There's too much background color with the text. It doesn't make the text stand out. I rather keep it simple. Here's a simple and clean look I like: Simple and Clean (http://37signals.com/)

Feedback:
*I'm actually thinking about removing the video demo, so you can remove that from the mock up?
*Can you have the login and sign up links on the upper right corner?
*I would like to see the Search and Location text field more on top.
*There seems to be a lot of extra space on top. Can you fix that?

*Instead of trees and sheep, which has a country feel, can you make it look more urban by giving it a city setting with shops?

*I like the list of businesses below the Latest Activity tab. That should be the main focus of the site. The recently added is just be a minor addition to the overall of the site.
*I like the position of the login and sign up links
*Could you move the Search and location bar lower like this site? Example Site 1 (http://www.goodrec.com)
*Could you move the whole thing up more? There seems to be too much space on top.
*Instead of clouds maybe have notes of paper floating down.

Seems like there's a lot of extra un-used space on top. Maybe have the top portion of the page look like this search and menu header on top. Example Header (http://www.yelp.com/c/sf/restaurants)

I like the change for the 3/4 usage .
