It is a nice website with good layout and good content. However, the url should aim at keywords. You should change the url to the title of the blog post.

Site looks good and design is also simple and elegant. But as "johngfcarey" advised you should change your post urls from just dates to the name of posts. It will not only user friendly but also SEO optimized.

In terms of SEO:

- change your title - add more info about the topic of your blog
- add description and keywords meta tags
- as @johngfcarey says - you can make the urls of your posts more SEO friendly

Looks good. The only thing you could consider is that the extracts from each article could be a little shorter. Because they are big blocks of txt people could be put off. Smaller extracts before going into full article might be easier to skim read.
