Hello DPers,
We are looking for a quality web design for our new charity website called CreativeGiving.org. The winner will receive $150 via paypal. The contest will go until we have chosen a winner. Below are the details.
About the site:
Our website will allow people to create their own fundraising webpage to accept donations. Basically we will offer similar services as this site: firstgiving.com (http://www.firstgiving.com). We dont want a copy of this site, but we wanted to show you this so you know what the functionality is of the site. There is one big difference between our site and this one; and that is that through our website, donators will be able to donate cash via paypal or by donating their time. We have partnered with various corporations that have agreed to donate money in exchange for people doing various tasks online. So we would like to emphasize this donating option on our front page
Here are some websites where we like the design: socialvibe.com (http://socialvibe.com)and bettertheworld.com (http://bettertheworld.com). We want our design to be professional looking and eye-catching.
Basically what we want in terms of the website layout is similar to socialvibe.com where we want people to see 3 "steps", but we dont want these to be boxes, something similar to socialvibe where the steps are separated but not necessarily boxed. Here are the 3 steps:
1. Create an online fundraising page
2. Share with your family and friends
3. Collect cash donations via
A. Paypal
B. Time
And next to each of these steps, we would like a picture showing what the step means. For example, next to or below the first step have a screenshot of what the website will look like (similar to how firstgiving has it) with a button below that says "Create Fundraising Page." And next to step 2 have an image of maybe facebook or myspace pages or maybe an image of a person that is connected to a "web" of other people. Something showing that the user needs to tell everyone. And the third step should have an image of the paypal logo for the first donating option and then next to the "Time" donating option, put logos of these companies: Blockbuster, GAP, and Discover Card. Make this donating option bigger than the paypal.
And below all of this, you can add something like "Want to donate to a charity, but don't have money? Then donate your time." Or something to that effect.
There are no specific colors, you can use whatever you think looks good. Remember, we are paying for quality.
And if you could have some simple logo made up in the upper left hand corner, that would make it look a lot better. Also, include menu tabs somewhere in the design (the same tabs that socialvibe uses at the top of their site).
Feel free to kind of mix anything up and be creative. You can post your submission here or send it to me via PM.
Thanks
