Hi Guys,
After thinking about it for a while I have realized that creating a logo is an exhaustive job and you should be well paid for it.
I'm continuing my latest logo contest which can be found here:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1281530
Except the fact that the new prize is $25.
The old logos which have been already posted in the old thread are in the contest too.
I will gather a few points that we think you should know regarding the design of the logo:
We are looking for something new, that delivers innovative-ness and web 2.0'ish
Something nice, can be funny, that can be printed on envelops, serve us in our website, coined into our email templates, etc
Delivers professionalism, we want it to be well done and something that when you see you will say "what a logo!"
Something unique that will represent us in honor and will leave a mark
My partner and I are young, we want to deliver both young and professionalism through the logo, it should be something nice and something that will leave a markThe name we want to brand through the logo is:
http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/5209/58782960.jpg
***PLEASE DO NOT POST THE NAME IN THIS THREAD, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE***
We have no slogan so just the name, WITHOUT THE DOMAIN EXTENSION! (just everything before the . dot).
Please reply with a black background and white background versions of the logo since it will be printed and used on both black and white sheets.
If these details are not enough, you can look back at our last thread at this URL:
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1281530
There are a lot more details but I gathered the important points into this thread.
My partner and I are looking forward for your entries. We want to turn on the engine on and get our website up to the air, but we can't do that without a decent logo ;)
Any inputs will be very appreciated.
Thank you for your time! :)

The font in the first version (the one at the top) is way worse than the one at the bottom
Try to combine the icon from the top with the text from the bottom.
Also try to put the icon in the left of the text.
Anyway, it seems good but somehow I'm pretty sure that this icon is already used by some other company ;) And since we are looking for something unique it will be better if you can change it to something else.
Thank you for your input, I'm looking forward to see the edited version :)

Hi Guys,
Just a few suggestions:
- name a deadline
- tell us what your company does exactly and what qualities you´d like your logo to express - What service(s) does your company provide - webdesign, adminstration, B2b software solutions, whatever...
- if you want a printable logo, forget about the reflections/gradient/shine/drop shadow web2.0 stuff

It's really nice, we both loved it but when you enlarge it you can see (take a look at the biggest logo in your image) that it looks like hand-drawing, try to give it a shape and turn it into something smooth.
Heres My Try:
We are trying to deliver professionalism, and it does not delivers that.
sorry for the gross but this is not the right direction

Everything is written in the last thread, I have gave a link in the first post in this topic to the last thread, you can read everything you need there.
And why should I forget about the reflections/gradient/shine/drop shadow/web2.0 stuff if I want to print my logo??
In order to print, at least in my opinion, I only need one thing - a printer
Mine:
It's really nice but it is not our direction, the combination of the letters in the logo is not attractive enough and does not look professional, and we also don't look after 3d logos
d
I don't really know why but it does not really talk to us, I'm sorry

Anything can be changed.

Nice logo but does not look professional either, try to change the font to something more authoritative
my try:
.
The colors and the font is not to our liking, actually I don't think that the whole idea is good, give it a second shot
how about just the name to be the logo?(the red line is only a mark to be remove later)
I'm sorry pal, we are looking for something unique and something that delivers professional, it does not qualify for any of these
I will give it a shot... Feedback appreciated! Comes in any format, size, color etc.

We really liked the idea, if you can try to make something that will look good on both white&black backgrounds, also please remove the left-bottom block from the logo (the one at the left bottom that is fold),
Also if you can please do NOT use white colors in the text or logo since we are going to print it someday

Thank you all for your logos.
We will close the contest in the next couple of days, I'm sorry for not stating an ending date but this is just because of the fact that I was really ill in the last days.
Looking forward for some more entries and big thanks to all the designers that already put their input in the pot :)
