Top Commentator List

Commenting on blogs can be a great way to build thousands of back links quickly. All you have to do is go to the blog and comment regularly enough to become a top commentator. After you are top commentator you will get a site wide link back to your site. Every site you are top commentator on could result in hundreds upon hundreds of back links.

Below i have complied a list of blogs currently rewarding commentators by using the top commentator widget. Remember when commenting on these blogs - add to the conversation and don’t spam them. If i have missed any blogs that use the top commentator widget please leave a comment and i will add them to the list.

I hope these blogs don't get hit by auto blog commenters. I have a blog that keeps Askimet very busy with about 100 spam comments a day.

I get at least 100 spam comments a day and that's what use askimet. The rest of the list is posted on my blog - some of the blogs have up to pr 7. If anyone wants there blog to be added or know of any blogs that should be added just post it and i will add them.

Most of these blogs have some sort of anti spam installed. So i don't think spam will be a huge issue. Just remember to give back as much as you take they are giving away free site wide links.

Yes if you are spamming these blogs your comments will be deleted. If you are legitimately adding to the conversation and not spamming links - you will be fine. Remember using your Keywords as your name is acceptable.

Walkingbird again i am confuse, like suppose i legitimately adding to the conversation but if i don't use my name as keyword but use specific keyword (like video game) as keyword, so what will happen.

What i am trying to say is that you can use what ever you want more your name - if you use your keyword it will help your seo efforts. Video game would be a legitimate name to use.

Aren't forums for sharing ideas and resources? Why keep secrets when keeping the secret will not benefit you much.

I have more than I can contribute. Funnyfreak.net currently uses top commentator as well.

BTW, the PR7 you have listed is VERY competitive. Be ready to post 20 comments/week at the very least to be on there. Neil is a cool guy tho!

Shoemoney used to have a dofollow top commentator blog, but he's recently changed it to nofollow. PR6 tho.

Sure.. it may be a way to get site-wide links as you said. But when I comment on a blog , and already have a backlink... I consider the link building with that website done. I comment on that blog only if I find valuable content there and I like that content, and I wanna discuss about that.

Commenting just for the art being in the Top Commentator List is just a waste of time.

I prefer commenting on forums or be active on some big social bookmarking sites.

It's more useful.. because you have a bonus : Driving MORE visitors on your website.

Problem is........its hard enough to maintain my status at those sites......sharing them would result in a flood of spam for the sites' owners, and would make it more difficult to stay on their respective TC List.

Yes you get 1 backlink and a site wide link is better than 1 backlink. You also get click troughs to your site. You can also find a blog you are intersted in to comment on and will result in more quality links than forum posting.

I really do not see any point in becoming top commentator.
I always comment on related blogs and try to get backlink probably with anchor text keyword in place of name.

You can find realted blogs with the top commentator widget. You still get your keyword anchor text and you get 100s more links.

Some of them olny give a link on the home page but most of the links are site wide.

I think the point of this is to make enough comments so that your links will appear site wide (including the home page).
