My site was ranked 25 for a keyword yesterday, and probably 26 for 1 week ago, but today it is at 81.
Does it mean a penalty or something happen?
Thanks

You can't necessarily blame every ranking shift on the 'Google dance'. That is essentially not taking responsibilty for maintaining and improving your website's rankings.
When you don't have page 1 rankings, your rankings are much less stable. They are bound to jump around a bit. You could just be seeing different rankings as you get results from a different Google data center.
By looking at your website one thing jumps out at me...you don't have enough backlinks for good rankings. You have a PR0 and Google only reports 2 backlinks. Yahoo reports 140 backlinks, but that is still much too low to get rankings in that niche.
You need to work at building more backlinks to your website. You need to get those backlinks on a regular basis and from a variety of sources. You also need to vary the link anchor text a lot too.
I don't think you are penalized as you are still first for 'car price database'. You can get penalized for one keyword if you overuse that keyword as link anchor text.

How can it be Google dance when the OP is asking about YAHOO SERPS ? in the post title
... also this is the YAHOO forum ;)
I have noticed yahoo serps jumping the last week myself, and they are doing a deep crawl of my sites, so it may be wise to wait a week or so before panicking.
It may help you if you had some more text on your main page, as it looks like a page of little but links at the moment.

You know I didn't notice that I'm in yahoo's page, and I think that today there is anyone who is concentrated in yahoo. So I'm sorry for my recent post.
And for the second
""When you don't have page 1 rankings, your rankings are much less stable. They are bound to jump around a bit. You could just be seeing different rankings as you get results from a different Google data center.""
Don't You think it's a google dance?

Don't rely on yahoo!. Yahoo!'s results change almost randomly.

Yahoo is using a similar almost technique with Google. However seems a bit weird with your SERP lost. Maybe non-unique content penalty?

The reason behind this can be yahoo has found out and penalized your site for something. Follow their webmaster guidelines and try to do anything which was against it.

Ranking can often go down before they go up.
In my early days of SEO I would panic that a site was gone forever but it would always reappear and usually higher.
Have you done anything exceptional in last few days..a lot of pings maybe?

I didn't do much things recently, so I don't think that I did something wrong. The keyword has 1,560,000,000 results in yahoo, and when it was ranked 25 I felt it is not a bad job...lol
Anyway, it is ranked 86 as of now, which means it is still dropping for some reason. Maybe wait and see how it goes.:(

My sites drop from page 1 to page 3 or 4, then come back again all the time in Y!. I wouldn't worry about it. It can be frustrating, I know. But as long as you haven't done anything like hidden text, hidden links, cloaking, and so on, there is nothing to be concerned about.

I have found the number of backlinks frequently reducing in Yahoo Site Explorer. I have asked this at their blog too but could not get a reply. Could be a problem with some links going haywire at times.

My rankings change almost every week. Even though my backlinks (and I'm pretty sure my competitor's either) are still the same.
I'm 1st this week, I was 3rd last week and I'm going to be 3rd in a week again :D.
It is yahoo!. I got used to it.

This really made me laugh for a second or two. Well, this probably happened because the guy who posted is used to such issues related to Google and not Yahoo.
Back on topic, your position in search engines will never stay stable, you will always see it somewhere else. This happens so that at all times you will be trying your best to promote your site.

I've also seen some drops in Yahoo SERPs for some of my main keywords from about 3rd position to 7th and now 6th. Hoping I get back to the top shortly.

My site dropped three pages on Yahoo in the last few days - nothing changed on my site. I have to believe they are changing their algorithm, but no one's really noticed yet because no one follows Yahoo all that closely.

your rankings to search engines does not stay for long.. there are lots of webmasters out there that wants to replace your ranking position so you better watch out for it... just continue on optimizing your site.

I apologize for giving advice about Google in a Yahoo thread. I guess I just saw the first reply mention Google and I forgot which forum category I was in. My bad.
I too have noticed a drop in Yahoo traffic/rankings. So I am now convinced that there was some type of Yahoo algorithm update around March 27th. It only affected some of my rankings though. In total we lost about 50% of our daily Yahoo traffic.
Now if only we could figure out the exact difference between the websites who improved rankings and the ones who lost rankings. They likely put more weight on certain types of backlinks or lowered the weight of other certain types of links. I don't think it has anything to do with what we've done recently.

Google dance is still going on and on ... m fed up coz of low traffic from Google as i haven't tried optimizing for Yahoo specially as yahoo provides less traffic to all my sites then Google used to.
my sites serp also dancing like this daily from last few days ... one of the keyword was in 30's and now its in 90's, again it shows in 30's .... and so on

I assure you, everyone, it's not just a matter of "working hard and getting more backlinks" or a "regular fluctuation."
One of my sites (www.bleachernation.com) gets a bajillion visitors from Google and *literally zero* from Yahoo. Something is wrong with Yahoo.
