I have been using linkmarket for about three months. I exchanged about 70+ links so far. I have not seen an improvement in my page rank. But that may be due to the fact that my site is still too new. Still I reccomend it to anyone looking for customers because you can link to similar sites, making it easier for customers to find your site.

I am sure you are right, but links can serve for more than one purpose. When I first joined Linkmarket, at the beginning of January 2009, I did not even know what a page rank was. I was only looking for a way to help people find my site. I was told the best way to do that was with links to similar and more established sites as well as being listed in directories and search engines. I still believe that and it is still my goal. In my search for links I learned that people would be more willing to link with you if you have a high page rank, so of course I want that too. But let's not put the cart before the horse. Because I need customers I need need links and because I need links I need page rank. PR is not an end in itself but a means to an end - at least for me. Why would you need page rank otherwise? Is it some sort of internet status symbol?

google has explicity stated that they don't like link exchanges designed primarily to manipulate pagerank. You participate in them, you takes yer chances.

I agree. Nowadays, recips don't really count with Google. However, Linkmarket can still help if you are very, very careful, i.e. change the anchor text of your site all the time.

BTW, make sure you use a credit card that's about to expire - LinkMarket ignore unsubscribe requests. They'll auto-renew you in a year whether you like it or not. At least that was the case in 2005 when we were using them.

recips dont help much, one for one swapping is not good, better to find one way, incoming links. One of my sites has zero page rank never has had any and has no links that I have set up but is still at number three on page one on the main keywords, its about content in the end

not really. you can use linkmarket, but link only to sites from your niche.

and don't loose your time with it. There are more good ways to build your backlinks that link exchanges.

I think we need to wait at least 3 months to see the results in page rank.

New update was expected by end of March which never happened.
I'm expecting the 2nd week of April.
