It's pretty obvious what the reasons are. The people that do well in Google are doing search engine optimization correctly. Google picks it up much faster and counts the links. Yahoo! is extremely slow and is a garbage search engine. The people that know how to do SEO focus on relevant backlinks from good sites, so it pays off in Google.

I agree. The difference is staggering though.

Google sends about half my total traffic. Yahoo sends a quarter of the total.
So Google versus Yahoo for me is about a two-to-one ratio.

I'm really surprised by some of the very low percentages noted above for Yahoo traffic.
Last month, out of 69K unique visitors, 36K came from Google and 17K from Yahoo. As noted above, about a 2-1 ratio Google to Yahoo.
If you are getting significant traffic from Google, I can't imagine why you would be getting very little from Yahoo.
I don't do SEO targeted on Google. I just do the normal, time-honored stuff, and that's how the numbers have worked out.

I don't have much yahoo traffic any more, but I had one site over a year ago that was getting a few thousand hits a day from yahoo and it was targeted, very profitable traffic ;)
Don't discount the power of SE traffic just because it's not from google.

For me, MSN ranks me the highest, Google ranks second highest, Yahoo doesn't rank.
Google sends the most traffic, Yahoo comes second, MSN doesn't send any traffic.
I don't know for which keywords yahoo is sending me traffic lol.

Yes the reason is definitely is that Google is a fatser and more efficient process and also maybe that users are crawling more in Google search engine than others.
