Hi, Here I want some genuine discussion regarding Yahoo answers.

The Main problem is
Yahoo Answers Suspension Notice

There are a thousands of people who are suck of this problem in yahoo answers.
Here is my case.
I have made Yahoo Account nearabout 2-3 times and all of you are requested to tell me what is my fault.

Account 1
Q: I do not like Paypal? What is the alternative?
My Answer: If you really do not like paypal then you may use alertpay or moneybookers etc.

Result: I got mail "You have put answer in violation of yahoo answer community and your account is suspended"
I really could not understand why it had happened? I wrote a mail too but no reply from that side. So, I created another account. I used this for 1 month

Account 2 - Status - Answers - 50 - Best Answers - 67%
I asked this question in Yahoo answers one day from this account:
Do people that prefer receiving oral sex rather than having any other
type of sex are egocentric?
And they deleted this question and suspended my account because they said that I violated their rules but the fact is that "Yahoo Answers" already has 24,137 questions for "oral sex".

Account 3
I asked a qustion on 1/10/2009 and got suspended the next day. I wanted to know why, cause I did not asked anything that would break their rules. Also I have found out that the suspensions are permanent unless a person can win an appeal.

The most ridiculous thing I found on Yahoo answer is you lose the points when you ask a question and it is question - answer community... lol..

What do you think about that? Do you like Yahoo Answers?

Please do not tell me that they are the great source of traffic. I am not discussing about getting traffic here.

I have been a member there for so long..

I put my website URL frequently in reference..where it's suitable. never got banned once..

But yes, it's important u gotta read Terms and Conditions..

looking at ur case, it looks like, YAHOO! basically ban your IP address. it could probably happen, when you IP is blacklisted for some big reasons.. because I don't see any real issues with it.

I sometimes answered pretty biased solutions because I believe so.. it may not justify what others think. But I still not get banned....even got best answers.. and I am 20% best answer..

The thing is, probably you started spammy or giving them un-useful answers when you do not feel right. because you have a history log that how you perform..

some people ask for laptop problems, and they say, buy a new one.. or are you this stupid? one line answers, that doesn't help in the long run.

hope that helps

Yahoo answers were setup for real life Q and A ... not for your spammy self interests to
promote your own sites for futher gain, this is not the purpose of Yahoo answers. so do
not be whinny when they catch on to your spammy tactics...some of you have gotten through
on luck, while others keep getting tagged, stop using them to try and fund your own self interests and you will be fine...just stop spamming....then you come here on DP and act all innocent "why did I get banned"
you know why you got banned!

If you got banned and werent spamming or doing anything against the TOS as you stated, it could be an issue of your IP address having been banned before. Are you using some kind of proxy?

What a answer? It could be better if given for the question asked :p
You just missed the question and I think you have not read it at all.
Its OK!

1. By the way what was my self interest if I am asking to use alertpay rather than paypal. Do you think that alertpay is my own site?
2. Where is my site regarding Oral Sex?
3. Why I could be suspended without asking any question.
I think you should read the thread atleast and should not reply only by reading the heading... :) BTW, it was a good try to increase one post.

I like Yahoo Answers "BEFORE" but I fell bad about the Account Suspensions..
It really sucks indeed! And I hate it so much. They suspend account even without violating the rules

What's wrong with that?
But i guess it's your competitor who reported your account.

Yahoo Answers Moderators are just blind and deaf, they do not see the reason and do not investigate the case. You report someones account and he will be suspended.
Now, Yahoo Answers is on my foot.!

lol :D that's a good one!! :D For me I guess I've been fortunate over there and haven't been banned (yet) As always it's best to read the TOS so you know where you stand in regards to or posting behavior. As BeirutMarketing states it could be an auto ip or email banning algorithm like that in youtube and maybe you're had the misfortune to get caught in it. It must be frustrating though but if you wish to utilize the service the only thing I can think of is to use a different email address and to try a virtual private network (vpn) as an ip concealer. This type of protection encrypts your ip and isp and or any other bit of information relating to your computer's identity.

hi there ! i provide a Yahoo Answers service and my accounts were banned a few times wen i started off. now we managed to get around the system and it works fine. sometimes other people just flag your answers to get you out of the service and sometimes when ur level is getting too high in some fileds the top contributers themselves flag you to get you out of the service too. even though its a free service there is big money to be done out there . choose your answers and read the questions good. i sometimes got answeres that were chosen as bestttt!! get deleted by yahoo . i think we are the only people on digital point that managed to get round that issue. pm me if u need more details.

You work hard to earn it and if it's taken away you have to start again and it more than just kinda sucks!

This is really ridiculous. If I think that an answer is spam and they think it is not. Will they suspend my account????
This is really worse than the worst situation and especially then, when you are at a good position.

are these accounts on auto-ban or an employee at yahoo actually manually doing the suspension? I would think that's really waste of man-power, no wonder yahoo is not doing so well, they don't really know how to allocate resource.

You should read T & C of yahoo answer website. If you spammed their website they banned you. and if you still not happy with yahoo answer then there are lots of other website for Q & A joined them. But Yahoo answer is really best

It is the answer. They Ban your IP and suspend your all accounts login through same IP. Hence, use proxies to post on Yahoo Answers if you are trying to make a quick buck
