Sales page, not making any sales

I made up this site (http://www.cosmosdogtreats.com) to sell a few ebooks I had compiled. I get 50-80 visitors a day but have not made one single sale.. Kind of baffles me since it is only $7 for 4 ebooks.. The only thing I can figure is that dog treat recipes are available for free all over the internet, as is a lot of that other info.. But still, you would think I would have seen at least a couple of sales in the month or so since i had the page redesigned..
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

Pet food, very close to my heart. We have 6 dogs :eek: ourselves and volunteer mobile adoption for our local animals shelter.

I like the graphics and crisp design.

Here are some ideas:

Site should have at least a few pages. Some ideas are

Main Page
Why store treats are bad (preferably with links and references)
A free receipe page (you need to give something away free, that breaks the ice). You could give one away free, have them signup for email for a few more, then email market the rest.
A purchase page for the first time visitor that does happen to buy.
A contact page


On your main page, offer a link to a page to scare them. Really they need it. If they knew what went into pet foods, most of the population would be shocked. Its road kill that could have been rotting for days, Animals that were put to sleep by lethal injection (I am sure trace chemicals stay around), dead animals from kill shelters, sometimes put into the grinder with metal and flea collars still on.

Put some buy now links on all your pages, but do not over do it by pushing too hard.

A good site to get some references could be http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com. That is where I went when I was comparing different pet foods. The site is down at the moment, hopefully that is a temporary thing. If it does happen to be gone for good, you can browse using the google cache or waybackmachine to look what was there.

I think the main problem is nobody really wants the product. I think people who serve the web, usually don't have the time to make dog treat. And as you also said there are many free recipes online. Maybe you should try to add some affiliate programm or adsense.
