View Full Version : $70 Logo Contest - Winner takes all - payment via paypal
proteindude
Mar 14th 2009, 6:21 am
Hello talented people,
I need a new logo and what better place to run a contest than dp :) ?
Requirements:
Name: All Natural Products
As the name suggests it is about natural products so the logo must have a generic natural icon such as a leaf or anything you can think of which represents natural This is a suggestion: perhaps place the icon next to the text and not part of the text (you can place the icon on the text but I think I prefer a highly visible natural icon).
Colours: something green to resemble something natural
Must be simple, stylish and professionally looking.
All designs must be original and in a format such as .psd, vector or eps
I prefer to have the entries posted on the thread.
Payment will be made via paypal for $70
Any questions, please ask. I am aiming to end this in about 5 days or less depending on the quality of entries.
Remember: this contest is run by PD so the winner is GUARANTEED to receive payment.

Not sure what you mean by this. If you mean resolution, I prefer at least 300dpi.

I am not a designer so I am not familiar with design terms. I don't think you need pixels to design a logo.
If some designer can answer this question asked by gamelord it would be appreciated.

LSDesign: thanks for getting this started. It's a pleasant design but it could be improved. I don't like the grass because it makes the logo look a touch too busy but the leaf looks good. To improve it I would make the leaf bigger and perhaps place it separate next to the text because I would like to have a nice icon next to the logo. In actual fact I may edit my first post and mention this as well.
Lazlow: Thanks for the submissions. I like the first one better but I think the icon is too large compared to the text and to be honest I don't really like the font you chose. The top one is the better of the two.

I just now noticed this question. There is no site and colours yet because the site will be based on the logo after the logo is designed.

lazlow: looking good. I think somehow the text looks squashed and even the icon is too close to the text. Your logos are pleasant and the idea is ok, but somehow I think you can come up with something better. Sometimes a little effect or a circle or whatever can make a big difference. Again, the logos and the ideas are ok but not outstanding (at least not yet).
darlington: thanks for considering this.
I need to get some rest now but I will be back later with more feedback.

I just quickly wanted to say thanks for all the designs that came in. I'm on my way to church but I will come back in a few hours with the feedback. Looks like this is going to be a tough competition judging by all the great entries received so far.
Also quickly, the leaf icon is a very suitable one but if anyone else can think of another icon resembling natural that would also be great. I'll be back in a few hours with feedback.

I just want to make one thing clear: when I provide feedback that's all I am doing. I am not requesting changes yet. You can do those changes but this looks like it's going to be a great and tough contest so I don't want to waste your time by asking for changes at this stage.
Darlington: thanks but this concept is not going to work for me
Offiri0: thanks for taking part in this. Always a pleasure to see your designs. You mispelled natural (the r is missing). It's a very pleasant logo which looks good but I feel it could still be improved a little more though I am not sure how. Perhaps use some brighter colours or make the leaf have a touch of dew on it. Just not fully sold on the idea. But it definitely looks good and has potential
Sagarika: thanks for the entry. It looks a touch web 2 which is not suitable for this contest. The icon looks great and perhaps if you made everything look a touch more natural (not web 2ish) it would have a chance
LsDesign: better but not fully sold on the icon. Not sure what can be done to improve it
gamelord: thanks but it's just a touch too plain. Pleasant concept but this will be a tough contest to pick a winner because most designs will look similar and yet a small effect or a circle or a small unique touch will win it
Creations4You: thanks for taking part. I like the top one better. Nothing negative about it except there are quite a few strong entries already and it's hard to choose. Great work. Second entry is a little weak and the top one looks better.
hanidesigns: pleasant logo and the icon looks good but the font doesn't fully grab me. Also the icon could be improved more.
Aalto: yours is a tough one to judge. It definitely looks like a fully developed logo and not just text with an icon next to it. Although I like it and although it's got that full logo look I am not sold on the icon and also products needs to be as visible as the rest of the text. the words all and natural look good but the word products also needs to be easy to read. The icon you did also looks good but I need a more generic one. The one you have is a little more suitable for products aimed at women but these products will also be aimed at men.
mrEdedign: nice and stylish. I like them but somehow when I see the way you wrote all I always think of a spring. To me it just looks like a spring. The icon looks ok but I have a strage feeling I seen the same icon somewhere else. Is the icon your own work?
evolva: great to see you again. It's probably not the best I've seen coming from you. It just looks a little plain.
jasonleon: thanks but it's too plain looking
watari: thanks for entering this. Your logo is playing with my mind a lot. I like how you also used an acronym (ANP) which looks good. I think I like the top one better but the bottom one looks good too. We'll have to wait and see what other entries I get before deciding on the finalists. The bottom one (separate image) looks good too but the font is a touch too simple
creations4you: #28 is a touch too plain and unbalanced somehow (the text is too small)
joidiamonds: thanks but it's a little too plain
xual: thanks but it's a little too amateurish looking.
flatdesign: thanks for the entry. I was hoping you would enter this contest. Looks good but doesn't fully grab me. Not sure why. Perhaps the font is too simple and the icon is a touch too colourful with the blue in the middle.
gsmile: nice and stylish. Thanks for the entry. The only downside is perhaps a touch too simple.
MacRulez: thanks for entering. Pleasant design but I am not sure why you would use a blue ball in the icon. Also I don't think black is a great colour choice when I try and sell something that's supposed to be natural.
@Neonic: thanks for bringing that up. Guys please use original work.

Proficient: thanks for the entry. I like the concept but not the execution. I mean I like the idea of something green and the blue which I think symbolyses the sky but it needs to be developed a little more. The font is a bit common.
oakley: Thanks for the new one but not heading in the right direction. Now the word all is a little hard to read and the way you displayed the word products is also a touch hard to see.
gsmile: looking good but still not fully sold on it
gamelord: you're right. Nice entries. The contest will end in no more than 5 days from when it was started. Also in regards to your final entry it's still not there. It doesn't fully look like a logo somehow. Looks more like text next to an icon. Thanks for participating though.
hanidesigns: yours is a hard one to judge because it looks good, it's pleasant and stylish and yet it doesn't fully grab me.
jokomamamita: thanks for the entry but not what I am after. Your icon looks a little like an apple and the products I will be selling are not fruits and that is why I wanted a more generic icon, an icon that could match other things such as say cosmetics, vitamins, healthy drinks, etc. If the icon was suitable I would say it's a pleasant entry.
olivess: thanks for entering but not fully liking it. I think it looks a touch girly and I need something neutral also suitable for men.
anarki: thanks for the entry. I see you're trying something other than a leaf which is great. On the other hand I think the tree may be a little confusing as it may indicate some tree related products and I need something more generic, something that could go with all sorts of natural products such as vitamins, cosmetics, healthy drinks etc.
harizd: thanks but not heading in the right direction. I don't like you used black for a natural product and also the designs I find them somehow unsuitable despite the fact they look ok. They may be ok for other uses, just not for my needs in this contest.
Vebtools: nice, simple, stylish and pleasant design. The icon looks good but it looks like you just simply placed the text next to it. I need something to look more like a "full" logo. In the second one the text/font looks more logo like but I don't like the icon.
shammuptr: the icon looks pleasant but I get the feeling you just placed the text next to the icon making the icon fully overpower the text.
mitcharr: about time you decided to enter one of my contests :) I look forward to your entry.
TheAge: thanks for entering this. Sorry but it's not doing it for me at all. In my last contest your thumbs up logo was standing out from the beginning in my mind. But this logo is just too plain looking. Also I'm not sure black was a godd colour choice for the font
EDIT: I am having some problems with my computer. I tried to reply to each entry in the order they were received and TheAge I have no idea why your entry came last in my post.

renderwork: thanks for entering this. Unlike some logos where there was just text next to the icon your positioning is great. It looks good and pleasant but here's the difficulty: I have received several suitable logos but yours justdoesn't fully stand out. It's not to say I don't like it, it's just to say I can't choose it just yet.
intellactual: welcome to DP. I very much like the idea of using an acronym (ANP for all natural products). This is a great idea and I think it works really well. I know watari has also done this (he was the first) and I must say I also like this approach. However, apart from using the acronym, I don't fully like your icon. It looks a little too complicated, too complex and looks like you just wrote the text underneath the logo.
larrytheloafer: thanks for the entry but it's not what I am looking for. The icon is a touch too complex though the intention is great. Also I don't like the font.
MacRulez: sorry for calling it a ball. I now understand it was due. The new one is a pleasant design and if this wasn't a contest I could see myself using your design after a few alterations. Your design looks good but still doesn't fully have the edge over other designs. Perhaps also the fact the text looks a little plain doesn't help. Let's see what other designs I get and once I decide on the finalists I may suggest some changes which could improve the logo. I hope you don't misunderstand me: it's a pleasant logo but right now it's not the winning one.
oakley: thanks again and while your designs are improving (cleaner text and easier to read) the competition is also getting tougher and I already have some designs which I happen to like more than yours. Again, thanks for the submissions.

I noticed the same thing. It seems to be a large problem on these forums from what I can tell. A lot of designers here don't seem to care about licensing or the trouble they could be placing upon those requesting designs.
Please don't use copyrighted material from websites like shutterstock people, you or the person requesting the design could get in some major legal issues. Please keep your work original; if you do not have the talent to create and design the work yourself, then maybe these contest forums aren't for you.

First of all, thanks guys for the entries and sorry I took so long to come back with the feedback.
VictoriaAnn: thank you for the entry. It's no secret I'm a big admirer of your work but this logo while stylish and pleasant seems to have a bit of a girly touch and the products I will be selling will also be bought by men so I need something more neutral. I very much appreciate your entry.
bdp: thanks for the submission. Pleasant design and I can't fault it except that perhaps the green is a little dull.
hanidesigns: great work once again and definitely improving. The only thing I can say is that it's missing the knockout punch. Other than that it looks good.
joidiamonds: #75 and #76 I had someone else look at them and the consensus is they have a pleasant colour scheme. They look good. The only downside is in my opinion they look just a touch too busy and I prefer something a little simpler. This is not to say they are not stylish, it's just that personally I like simpler designs.
Mr WillHaynes himself: great to see you enter this contest. All I can say is once again great work. I like what you did but unfortunately it's not suitable. Not suitable because it's too girly and the products will be also bought by men so I need something more neutral. What I noticed is some designers do an icon and then they just write the text next to it. Your logo looks like a real logo where the text is nicely positioned and not just next to the icon. I wonder if you could try one more time (if you have the time of course) and try and come up with something more gender neutral.
MacRulez: all I can say is your designs are getting better and better. I like them and I also like the ones at the bottom with the leaves looking they are pencilled in. Great work and creativity especially for the bottom ones. My only problem is they don't seem to be well put together somehow. What I mean is you have a great icon and pleasant font but maybe you need to position the font a little differently to give it more the logo look rather than just text next to a logo.
Anasone: good to see you again. Hard to give feedback. It's a creative entry which breaks away from the leaf but somehow it's not me. Hard to explain it. Maybe it's not me because of the black font or maybe it's something else that I can't quite figure out.
MantisArt: thanks for participating but not what I'm looking for. I think it needs to be developed a little more somehow. I think the font you used looks is a little amateurish and I need something a little more modern somehow.
graphicband: nice work but doesn't grab me. Don't get me wrong: they look good but I happen to like other designs a little more. I think it's the icon you used that is probably just a touch too simple and open to interpretation.
gsmile: I like the top one in #84 Great work
flatdesign: nice work with the font and text positioning. Sorry but I don't like the icon. I hope I won't offend you but everytime I see it it reminds me of a scene in MickeyMouse where some broom is walking around. Apart from that you did a very stylish and pleasant logo. The second one looks ok but the top one is the more stylish and elegant one.
larrytheloafer: thanks but it's too plain. Looks more like an image than a logo.
esk212: thanks but I don't like it. I don't like the fact you used black and the icon is a little girly and I need something more gender neutral
jokomamamita: I really like the fact you used the initials. I think this idea with the initials works really well. Nice work and I like it.
anarki: thanks again but not doing it for me. The logo looks a little too spread out
shammuptr: sorry but to me that does not look like a logo but more like an illustration
vebtools: looks good and I like its simplicity. Not sure what you can do to improve it. The one thing I am not sure about is the brown you used for the text.

Hello sir, I'm Rice a student and a logo maker from Philippines...... And this is my logo that I've made for your ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS project.
First thing first is my logo is not like with the other that totally styled up....... because the basic principles in making or creating a logo is, you must keep it simple but in a stupid way...... hehe :D
http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll191/ekereric/AllNautalProd.jpg
My concept of this is just like with your requirements that come up something a natural symbol which is the leaf or leaves and then the color of it........ And as you can see to the image I made three different color shade of leaf and corresponds it to each word which ALL(Light Green), NATURAL(Green) and PRODUCTS(Dark Green). And as you can see also or try to play in your mind that each first letter in every word (ANP) is been drawed up..... wheew

First of all anyone participating please read this: I have been going over all entries and I really like the idea started by watari where I also have the initials of the logo being used, namely ANP (all natural products ). Watari, please pm me your paypal and I will send you $20 as a bonus prize for giving me this idea of using my initials ANP in addition to the logo.
Everyone else: I will be providing feedback on each entry below but please note, if you intend to do any revisions, I stronly encourage you to also consider using my initials ANP. Because of this change (using ANP in addition to all natural products ) I am increasing the prize to $90
tDesigns: #94 Looks good and stylish but my only issue is it looks a touch girly and the products will also be sold to men and that is why I prefer something a little more gender neutral
joidiamonds: I apologise if I don't make much sense sometimes. I actually like better your design with the ANP initials. To me the ANP one that you did looks more like a proper logo. The ones at #95 look good but they are a little complex for my liking. Again, I apologise if I confuse you.
logorice: welcome to SM and thanks for the entry. I also appreciate your advice/input. The logo looks good, however I feel like the icon is too big and is overpowering the text which also looks good. I think you need to find a better way to combine the icon with the text, perhaps by reducing the size of the icon. I am sure you read more about logos than me but I can only give you my suggestions which of course you may disagree with :)
Itaydr: shalom and thanks for the entry. I've seen you enter some other contests and sometimes you come up with some really great entries. One question: why ACN ? This logo looks ok but I feel it can be modernised a little more to made it look a little fresher, a little more modern. I don't really like the motif behind ACN, though I like the idea of using the initials which are ANP not ACN
anidesign: about time you entered another of my contests :) First of all let me say thank you for your entry. It's no secret that along with VictoriaAnn and Xpressions I believe you are one of the most talented dudettes here at dp and it's a pleasure to see you enter this contest. Very pleasant and stylish logo and I like it. However, as mentioned above I need to also have my initials ANP as part of the logo. I would like it if you could make another entry using the initials ANP. The only other suggestion is if you could make the leaves look a little more gender neutral if that is possible because these products will also be bought by men. Whether you will do another entry with ANP or not, I wanted to again say thanks for participating (I do hope you will do another entry)
freshfish: thanks for the entry but it's a bit complex and a touch girly. I need something a little simpler and also something more gender neutral because these products will also be sold to men.
graphicband: #101 thanks but the icon doesn't do it for me. I do like how you positioned the text though. Some designers just do an icon and then just write the text next to it. The way you did it looks like you put thought in the way you wrote the text
anasone: thanks for the new colour schemes but in the meantime I received some more entries which I happen to like more than yours. Thanks again for entering.
renderwork: thanks but it now looks a little too busy and I prefer something simpler.
mitcharr: thanks for finally entering one of my contests :) I like it but I am not sure about the leafs. Hard to explain: I really, really like your icon. Simple and very stylish. However, the three leaves make me think of a gardening product and these products I will be selling are not organic products. Think for example healthy drinks, cosmetics, food bars. I am not sure what you can do but I really like the simplicity and style of your icon. It's one of my favorite even though I think it's a little unsuitable.
vebtools: looking good
steppysteph: nice and stylish but a little unsuitable for my needs. I probably don't make much sense but the leafs look to me like something that's symbolising a forest product and while they look nice I need something more neutral for natural food products. I know other logos used leafs but yours look more "forest like products" The icon looks good, just not suitable for my project
zyndtel: thanks for entering this but it's not something I like. To me it's just not captivating enough.
gurtejm4eo: thanks for the entry but not something I like. Your text/font looks a little too basic and the icons you used look like they need a few touch ups like they are not fully finished somehow. This is just my view though.
Chewysmom: welcome to dp (entry via pm): I think it's an ok concept but the execution of the concept is not that great. I think you only need to write all natural products once and not twice otherwise it looks a little too spread out and I still think you can stylize it a little more. I would remove the text in blue and just stick with the leaf and the text in green. I am not asking you to do these changes, I am just providing feedback.
PLEASE NOTE: I was about to pick the top entries but I would really like it if you could submit an entry with the initials big ANP and the icon and perhaps even write All Natural Products as well. Based on the feedback provided you will know whether or not you want to do that and again, the price is not $90.
Once I get a few modified entries with ANP, I will then select the top 3 or 4 entries which I like the best and shortly after I will try and end the contest.

Phew...thanks for clarifying that was a mistake. I was thinking there was perhaps something I was missing  If you do make another entry please make sure the initials are big and clear because going over the logos I received the ones where the ANP was written in big letters was the one I like the best so far (the one designed by watari http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=10897719&postcount=27 ).

And here comes the feedback and I will also choose the finalists.
hanidesigns: thanks for doing the logo with just the initials. Nice font but I think it looks a little more like a nice gardening product. Also it is a little busy for my liking
hipstick: you're not too late and thanks for the entry but the logo is a little too busy for my liking. I do like the shades of green that you used
MastMnds: very nice and stylish and there is nothing negative I can say except I happen to like other designs better. I could be wrong, but my opinion is if you have 3 or more major initials, then the rest of the text should be smaller. Thanks again for entering this contest and also thanks for the great entries.
sagarika123: your designs keep on improving but the logos you presented look a little busy for my liking. Nevertheless, I must say your work is constantly improving.
Itaydr: thanks for the new ones and also for the correct spelling :) I am not sure but there seems to be some wider than normal gap between the initials and between the rest of the text. Like I said, I've seen some of your past designs and they look great but I am sorry I can't say the same about these ones. Also the leaf looks also in a strage way like a feather used by old time writers so someone may mistake the leaf for a feather.
logorice #118: I appreciate your input and I am not in any way "upset". Like I said, Watari did get paid and he can still win this contest. However, I am not asking the designers to copy his design but rather to use my initials something done by lots of companies. Your logo looks good but after thinking about it I decided to also "stick" with using initials. Thanks for the entry and good luck with your future contests. Please also see below feedback for the new entry which only now I noticed.
MantisArt: nice, creative and simple just like I like it. The only downside is I just happen to like a few designs better. Also, just my opinion, if you only used the leaf on A and not on P it would have still been enough. Thanks again for the entry.
gsmile: I am sorry to say it but I think this is a bit of a step back for both entries. The top one looks a little plain and the bottom one looks a little busy.
TightWad: thanks for entering this contest. Pleasant design but I fell like black is the wrong choice of colour for a "natural" theme I also think it would look better if there was a leaf just on one of the letters not on all of them/
Mitcharr: thanks for the new ones. Very pleasant and stylish icons. Or as the French would say, very "a la Mitcharr". I actually really like the last icon at the top, the one with the leaf underneath. Unfortunately my mind's been changed by anidesign's and xpressions's as well as logorice's entries. What I mean by that is in your design with the nice and stylish icon the rest of the text is spread out while in the designs mentioned above, the text seems to be part of the initials making the whole logo more compact. I hope this makes sense.
renderwork: thanks for the new entry but somehow a little different than what I was expecting. It doesn't have all the initials such as ANP and also if someone looked at the logo they could not work out the full name was all natural products.
Gorgon: thanks for the entries but not what I am looking for. The fonts you used in the top one look a little plain and the same goes for the second entry.
logorice # 133: I actually like what you did here as it is first of all according to my requirements and they are also very pleasant entries. My dilemma is I don't like black for a natural product and I like the white ones you did. However, the issue with the white ones is how can I use them on say a white label? The white letters you did look great on a black label but most likely the label/background I will be using will be white.
And now the finalists: first let me say this was a very tough contest and I am extremely pleased to see entries from the big guns here at dp (xpressions, watari, anidesign, mitcharr, VictoriaAnn, WillHaynes). If you're not the finalist you can still submit if you wish but I am very strongly leaning towards these three finalists entries:
Like in most of my contests I like to choose the finalists (the designers whose designs I like the best) and ask them to do some changes and then it's up to the finalists whether or not they want to do those changes and go all the way and win.
Finalist #1 anidesign: I like the simplicity of your design and also the way you positioned the all natural products. This is what I really, really like about your design on top of the fact it is elegant, pleasant and stylish. What I don't like is it still looks a little girly. I know I am a twisted individual sometimes and what I would like to ask you (and I will also ask this of the other finalists) is this: in order to do away with the girly look while still maintaining what you did so far, is it possible to perhaps add just a totally generic icon or a generic touch and while it may not necessarily look like a leaf or a natural product to still have a natural look? I think this can be achieved with just a touch of a green "something" somewhere on the logo. I hope you don't think I have gone completely insane.
Finalist #2: xpressions. Again, thank you for making the time to enter this contest. I really like the simplicity of your logo. I also like the positioning of the words right under anp. Here's what I would suggest: as I was also saying to anidesign above, I like to do away with the leaf which to me looks a touch girly and instead have just a stroke of green or a small icon or something to still resemble natural. Please don't get me wrong: I really like the originality and simplicity of incorporating that leaf into a but if you can change that leaf with a more generic symbol since the products will also be sold to men that would be great. The only other change is perhaps use a brighter green.
Finalist #3 watari: I like what you did but I have a few issues. I need to get rid of the leaf you placed on the A in ANP and perhaps replace it with something that looks like a brush stroke or something green to still keep the green natural feel but without using a leaf which I think looks a little girly. I like your logo ANP, but a couple of folks thought the N was a W because of the leaf you used they couldn't read the initials properly. Perhaps once you fix up the A it will be clearer to these folks the N is an N and not a W.
In the end I also want to mention two things that really stood out even though right now these guys are not finalists: Aalto: your submission really looked like a professionally designed logo though it wasn't suitable. A nice combination and not just an icon with text next to it. And also MacRulez: very nice "scribble" effect in your #78 post.
I guess it's now up to the finalists and again, thanks to everyone who took part.

Watari: Thanks for the new submissions. They look great. My mind has not been changed yet: along with anidesign and xpressions yours is my favorite. You've certainly given me plenty to choose from and they look good.
Itaydr: I appreciate the new one but I think you missed the part where I was ditching the leaf.
Joidiamonds: I appreciate the fighting spirit. I just think you missed the part about ditching the leaf in favour for something more generic. I must say your designs are improving so keep up the great work.
jackieh1791: good to see you again. I know this has been a marathon contest and I think you may have missed the part where I decided to no longer use the leaf but instead go for something more generic and also decided to use the initials (ANP).
anidesign: I like your work and style but I think this time there may be a little issue. The text is extremely well balanced and good looking. I am not sure about the icons but I know you can do something much better with a small alteration. The "issue" or better said what concerns me is the fact the logo will have to be placed on a white background from time to time. I am not a designer so my imagination is limited that is why I am wondering how would the logo look on a white background considering the letters are white.
MastMnds: I appreciate the new one but my mind is made up regarding the leaf which I decided to no longer use. Thanks for participating.
Just waiting for xpressions and mitcharr before choosing the winner.

logorice: I may misunderstand you but I provided feedback for everysingle entry of yours. This last one looks good, it also looks very presentable on a white background which is great. The only downside in your design is I wanted to remove the leaf and instead try and use a generic, neutral icon/effect because the leaf is giving it a bit of a girly look and the products would also be sold to men.
anidesign: what can I say other than great work once again. The one dilemma I have with your designs is this: I absolutely love the simplicity of the anp and the way all natural products is also positioned. Looks really good and well balanced and very stylish. I also figured out a way to use the white letters on a white background. the way I would do that is to place everything on a green oval or rectangle and then place the oval on a white background. And yet despite the great text I feel like something is not 100% there. Perhaps ditching the icon and then just adding a little green stroke or a little green small something to one of the anp letters. I am not sure because I like the text and its position very much and yet not fully sold on the combination with the icon.
mitcharr: thanks for doing my head in :) Your new one certainly looks good and until your entry was submitted I was focusing mainly on xpressions, anidesign and watari. What's even more perplexing is I actually like the one with the leaf in it. Both designs look really, really good and even after xpressions post her design I may need one day to decide which one is going to be the winner.
It's not going to be an easy decision at all. I may send xpressions a pm to remind her, otherwise I will have to choose between mitcharr, anidesign and watari.

anidesign: brilliant entries. Looks really good and I can't think of anything to improve them. Awesome colours.
TightWad: sorry for the confusion. What I meant is those three designs were the leading ones and they were the ones to beat if anyone can do something better. I said the competition is still open but I wanted to be clear about the designs I like the most. It is now 4 including mitcharr's entry which is really playing with my mind. Regarding your entry: It looks good but one thing I like in the "winning" designs is the positioning of all natural products. They seem to have nailed this positioning. In your case the text is simply placed under the initials. Don't get me wrong, your logo is pleasant but I am looking at the overall design. I am not sure about the blue wave. I think it should have been also green and I also think the initials should have some slight effect or something because the edges of the letters look a little plain.
logorice: I like your attitude. Also thanks for paying attention to the leaf thing. yes your design is better and more suitable and getting better with every try. However, I still happen to like the anidesign, xpressions, watari's and mitcharr's best. This is just my opinion. What's that thing: an opinion can't be right or wrong. It's just that an opinion. Or something along those lines. Thanks for posting your entries.

Just a quick note to say this contest has not been abandoned. I am still considering the entries of the top 4 finalists (anidesign, watari, mitcharr and xpressions). I am waiting for one more entry from xpressions and I may just need another day after that to fully decide. A logo is something I will be stuck with for a very long time and I need to make sure I get it right so please put up with me for another day or so.

Thank you for the feedback. I understand you don't want a leaf, and wanted something a bit more generic...how about a blade of grass instead? Can create a variant on black background with effects should you like this direction.

hazard: thanks for the entries but none of them fit my style. The first one is too busy and the second one (the text) is a touch too plain.
UKF_Kurtis: thanks for the entry. Let me say something (again): that poster design contest that you won is still one of my favorite designs I ever received at dp. However, this logo you did, I don't think it's one of your better designs. It just looks a touch too plain and perhaps you also missed the fact I decided not to use the leaf anymore.
willhaynes: thanks for the new one. It looks good: simple and stylish just what I am looking and the only part I don't like is the colours you used. Great way of incorporating the leaf into the p, but again, you may also have missed the part where I decided not to use leaf anymore as it may look a little girly and the products will also be bought by men.
The two finalists: after looking at the top designs again and again and again, I narrowed it to two finalists: the two designs that are the ones I find the most suitable are anidesign and xpressions. Anidesign you don't need to do anything. They look good just as they are.
Xpressions: I really, really like the simplicity of your design but here's where I am. Your design in my opinion is not fully finished. I like the concept and everything but I can't make a decision until I see a more "finite" design meaning I need you to perhaps add a little more colour to it and by saying that I need you to make the green look a little more brighter. I don't like the blade of grass because it looks like a swoosh and personally I am not a big fan of swooshes. Don't be afraid to remove the swoosh all together and perhaps just colour up the logo a little more to give it that natural, fresh look/colour. I hope I am not confusing you too much but for example anidesign's logo does not have any "natural" icons and yet because of the colours she used the logo looks natural and stylish. Please let me know if I don't make sense because my mind is definitely made up: it's between you and anidesign.
Guys, I appreciate all your entries but I will not accept anymore designs. This is now just between xpressions and anidesign.
I want to thank all for making this a great contest and especially a big thanks to watari and mitcharr as well as VictoriaAnn for finally entering one of my contests :)

Fantastic contest and thanks for the entries everyone. In the end there can only be one winner and besides the $20 bonus paid to watari, the winner will receive $90.
I want to thank anidesign and xpressions for the great designs but the winner of this great contest is xpressions (I will still request a small alteration or two).
Xpressions please pm me so I can send you the payment.
And just as a side note, if anyone thinks this contest was hotly contested (165 replies and close to 4,000 views) you are right. However, this is still "small" compared to this other contest (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=463980&highlight=proteindude) which had 233 replies and over 6,000 views. It was won by DaveyBoy.

Of course I did. I even had another contest (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1014084&highlight=proteindude) to find a suitable business card for it. I printed the business cards and afterwards I realised I printed the wrong info on the cards. It was missing a phone number lol.
Now I just need to find a suitable template for that great logo. I think I found one so in about two weeks that logo will be on my site.
