$80 Banner Contest (Logo already designed)

Hi,

I am looking for a theme and header designed for an oil website. It will need to fit around the logo below. So please include this in ALL designs. If you have an awesome idea that changes the logo slightly for the better – please do so as I’ll be happy to see it.

Contest: Banner Design - Not full page design - Banner only - but i'm looking for a theme that makes the banner and logo look professional

I have recently run a contest here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1259152 and also ran 9 other successful contests in the past so you will get paid and there WILL be a winner, even if I don’t get what I want.

Okay – the header must look very classy and professional as the site will be visited by Corporates & individuals alike.
It will provide real time price charts, stock prices, investment advice and detailed information on commodity trading and the markets.
I'd like the design to look classy and professional but modern, fashionable, trendy and cutting edge - it must also be fresh.
Please don’t use any cartoons or anything too funky media as that isn’t what I’m looking for.

At this stage I’m open to all ideas!

Detailed feedback will be given for all entries and the thread will be updated with tips and ideas on a regular basis.

Thanks everyone for the entries so far.
Here’s some feedback:

Skut – Quite nice designs – but I’m afraid they’re not what I’m looking for.
Olivess – That’s a nice fresh design – I like what you’ve done – but the part on the right hand side isn’t what I’m looking for.
Alygames – that’s pretty interesting – but I’m not too keen on the blue colour.
J634 – thanks for the entry – but it’s not the sort of thing I’m after.
Anasone – That’s pretty good – nice and professional looking.
Watari – Another excellent design – Really does look nice and pretty much covers what the site is about – not sure about the red lines above and below though.

I've actually gotten the sizes wrong - If you take a look at www.smartmoney.com - That is the size i'm looking for width way (NOT the banner but the whole thing - including the logo and the banner, so from one side of the page to the other. It's also worth taking into account the colour of the lower part as i will be having a setup just like this. - Sorry for the confusion

Me too. Even I can't view his designs. That increases the chance of us doing the same style/idea like watari's (since we can't see his designs) and land us into a 'copycat' dispute. :(

Okay guys – some more feedback.

Olivess – that’s pretty nice – my one issue is that they look a bit too busy.
Anasone – Nice clean designs – you are one of the top 3.
Voltage777 – Thanks for the entry – sadly it’s not the sort of image I’m looking to portray.
Zyndtel – It’s a creative design – just not what I’m looking to achieve.
Renderwork – Nice looking design – but I think it’s just a bit too busy for the site.
Pixel Dynamics – You’ve given me something to think about, as I hadn’t really thought of writing in the header – but it could work. Sadly the design is not what I’m after.

My223cc – Thanks for the entry – it’s very similar to some of the others though – I’m not too keen on the light blue.
Olivesss – Thanks for the different entries – they are nice – but not in first place I’m afraid.
Tsoft – That’s pretty nice with the pattern near the logo – I’m not too keen on the graph line though.
SA20creations – That’s quite nice – Interesting what you’ve done with the top and bottom.
Tsoft – I’m not too keen on your last entry – it’s just a bit too busy.

Pixel Dynamics – thanks for the design – but it’s just a bit too busy.
Tsoft – I like your bottom design very much. It’s classy, understated – yet looks very professional.
Renderwork – very nice designs – but they just look a bit too busy.

The two top designs so far are from watari and tsoft.
