We had a forum running about foot care http://www.drfoot.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php with over 2000 posts. We were hacked by some guys called goons.com and they destroyed the site, we had to reinstall everything!! we have lost all our posts and members but we have the posts on the server in this format "tmp_fposts-1-22". Is there anyway to repalce the posts using these temporary files or are we doomed??? Please can anybody help?

You may aswell install the newest version of phpbb 2.0.13 which will have all the latest security patches - here http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php

Do you have a recent backup.sql file? If you have its just a case off uploading that to your Mysql and everthing is back to normal. You should also change any passwords you have.

ya you unfortunately cant do anything with that tmp file as far as i know. I know of a lot of other people who have went through the same thing. Sorry to hear about your loss. If you dont have an updated backup try to upgrade from your last backup of the database, if you have one. That is the only way you will recoup any of your losses.
