1 domain = 1 backlink?

if you have 2 blogs from wordpress.com (example: blog1.wordpress.com and blog2.wordpress.com) with each of them having a backlink to a particular site, would google (or any SE) consider it as 2 backlinks? or just 1?

If it's a fully duplicated article or something along those lines, you could possibly be penalized, or rather the blog that had the content second would, as that result may not show in searches... but I'm guessing that it would still spider the links on both sites. I mean, it can't tell if you own them both or not, especially on a website like wordpress.com ... but yeah, don't be shady about it. I wonder though, do sub-blogs pick up wordpress's PR? or no?

If both urls/sub domains have unique content and it's not duplicated then it will count both links, however linking sites theme and link place are both important beside content..

IP Address is just another thing to concern about ;)

Yes that is two but don't make blogs just to create backlinks your websites will be banned from google.

since your blogs on wordpress.com have different subdomains, they will be counted as 2 links even if the content is duplicate.
