Best placement for the forums

I am a bit irritated. My placement of ads dun work for me, in my forum. My static page is doing well.

Can you recommend any time tested placement of adsense ads for the forum.

Currently i place a 728x90 right under the forum header.

Getting a good rate on forums is difficult, many of the users after belonging to your site for a while will develop “ad blindness”. Lot's of people find it hard to get a good rate from forums. One of my main sites is a forum only and it does terrible, I had to create new sites just to fund the hosting.
