Making an offer

Here's the situation. I've found a parked domain that I would like to buy, and it has a 'make an offer' with a 'contact selller' box.

If you don't have a clue about how much the seller is wanting, what do you do here? Start with a low bid and keep doubling until you get a bite? Or just ask how much they want and start negotiating from there?

What do I need to consider when trying to get it at the best price? Cheers.

I dont beat around the bush. I just ask their selling price. If the seller can't give you a price range or asking price I usually find there not too eager to sell.
