How Much Is A PR5 Domain Worth?

I'm totally new to this domain thing. This may sound like a dumb question for you, but how much is a PR5 domain worth? If you don't consider variable factors, like traffic, topic and so on? Suppose someone just wants to buy a PR5 domain for SEO purposes. How much is it worth? The minimum amount that is.

Well I would say it ofcourse depends on the name. Then I would also make sure the PR isn't going to disappear once I put my new website on the domain name in question. Also would the current backlinks and PR be relative to my new content.

If all is good I would say a so-so DN with a PR5 could get at least $150+

Is there a market for domains based just on PR? I understand that a name can generate a substantial premium, but I'd guess that some people would buy domains just for PR, so they don't have to buy links and pay every month

If there is a site with PR5 that means it gets some visitors
PR is very fragile factor to judge only from this

If someone would like to buy a domain to increase the linking status of his website i guess that he could calculate the expenses of his paid links and make his offer. So there is no generic reply to your question

The buyer must have a same themed website so that your PR5 site would be beneficial for him

Well, here is "the problem". I have several PR5 and PR4 domains. But they all make too much money with adsense to be sold. But I'm thinking of buying domains in bulk, raising them to PR5 and selling them for SEO purposes. Clearly, if a domain pulls in some serious traffic, there is no reason to sell it. I was just wondering if there is a market for PR5 domains just for SEO purposes. Why buy links (which really means renting), if you can buy a domain. I'd be happy to sell links too, but I don't want to deal with small amounts.

I wouldn't buy any domain based on PR. Those values can fluctuate from day-to-day and should not be the major selling point (for the seller) or asset (if you're the buyer) for the transaction.

It's hard to say since other factors play a big role in why a domain has a pr of 5. I'm guessing there has to be a website behind the domain for it to be a 5 and you would essentially be buying that as well. There's no one answer for your question.
