I have recently bought an aged domain dated since 2001 and the seller claimed it has pr. It shows that it has PR when I check it but when I check backlinks - it doesn't have that many.
Now my question is - should I continue developing it or is it not worth it?
Let me know your thought please. Thanks.

Depends on the name, if it's generic, keyword, or brandable?

Yeah it is kinda brandable, it can be developed into a photography site.

You mean a stock photography site, or a photography aficionado blog?

Well I dunno yet really.... a photography aficionado blog is probably coz I could put my bably easier but maybe a stock photography site would bring more income?
What do you think?

A blog would require almost no capital to start, in contrast, a stock photography would cost alot of money to start and market. Not to mention there are hundreds of competitors who are trying to sell you pictures.

OK thanks guys!!! I really appreciate the time you take to answer my question. I think I will make it a photography blog and maybe put some ads on it? How can I earn from a photography blog? Or do I not think about that for now.
It has PR3 still - does that mean anything if it doesn't have traffic?

1. Yes, sign up for adsense, neverblue.com, pepperjam.com, cj.com and find relevant ads.
2. PR3 means you have other sites pointing to your domain, it might bring traffic or not depending on what kind of links they are.
Good luck!

Focus on the quality of the inbound links rather than the number. Links from a .gov, .edu, or valid PR6+ are usually good indicators the PR will hold. I have had some dropped domains do very well with minor SEO & development and even seen a +2 jump in PR.

IMO, it is worthy to develop since it is a aged domain back from 2001.
