Hi,

I am in the process of building an article content site and am considering the strategies available for promotion via article distribution.

For instance,

I will write one more indepth article for my site and will produce deritives of the work for republication sites. Possibly with 3 variants per main article.

In this instance, as far as copywriting goes, is this a strategy that has been successfully employed by many people here? Or is the work required too much for the possibly no benefits?

Article submission is an easy way to build incoming links over time. It's worked for me for years and continues to do so. I can't speak for everyone though.

I don't really do the whole variants thing these days. I simply write certain articles for distribution and others for my network. If creating content is difficult, time consuming or expensive for you then creating derivatives can be a good way to go.

Thanks for the replies.

I understand that some topics would be better with variants while other more generic topics may not make any difference. I guess it will come down to the specific topic and how much knowledge I have or which resources are available, whether it would be worthwhile producing deritive pieces.
