I just registered 2 sites for my children
Jack (http://www.jackmatthews.co.uk) & Holly (http://www.hollymatthews.co.uk) but mine (and variations) was already gone :mad: do you own a domain in your own name?

if so...what do have on there?

there is of course http://www.shawnhogan.com which rings a bell. :p

I used to, but it lapsed :(

I believe .me.uk is appropriate for such a circumstance, you might have more luck with your name(s)

I so much want <myfirstname>.com, but someone who hasn't made a site for it in the past many years is not gonna make it any more but keeps renewing the domain

for what purpose? i own over 3000 domains but have no interest in owning my name unless its worth money

My first name is taken. My last name is taken. The combo of both are taken. However my first and last both have nic names and the combo the the two nics is available:) I'm not too interested though.

Yep, I do. Nothing on it at the moment, it's only purpose now is receiving email @myname.com

Someboday in Dallas, Texas has had my name registered for years and years.
Tried way back in the 90's sometime to get it.
Whoever it is, has yet to make a site out of it.
Just a blank page has been shown for years!
