Adsense Channels and Aggregate Reports

When one is using channels, is there a 2 day delay in seeing the composite results? Or are the total impressions always correct and it's just the portion of data that is not known.

Also why does Google do this? It seems they make you wait on purpose as though one could use this information in a deceptive way if it wasn't delayed for 48 hours.

yeah, it is delayed for 48 hours.

Well there is no technical reason they can't give it in "realtime". My guess is the channel report appeared because it was the #1 request from publishers. But more importantly, I think it was deployed to curb the usage of the external AdSense click trackers that popped up in the last 2 months. So they give just enough to keep people from using them. :)

yeah kind of around 24-48 hrs delay.....
