If anybody wants to see a site with some heavy javascript and Ajaxing in action, check out my game that I've been working on for a year or so:

The ajax functions are all labeled as such, maybe it will give you some ideas. It's pretty complicated though since I've been working on it off and on for more than a year so don't get lost in it =)
