Hey guys,

I finally finished my first tool for the SEO world. Actually it's two, one is a website analysis, the other is a keyword competition analysis. The website analysis is pretty simple and just tells you a few simple things about a website like, no. of Google pages, yahoo links, google links, PR, and gives you a numeric value for how "strong" your site is. It is very similar to McDars tool, only you can keep historical data and track the different metrics over time. The keyword competition analysis is the one that is actually pretty cool (I think so at least :D ). This tool takes a keyword and does an analysis of the top x sites that are listed in the Google SERPs. The end result is a numeric value that describes the competition for a particular term. Using this tool, you can get a better idea of which keywords you should try to target with your SEO efforts, and which ones are too competitive for your site. Come by and let me know what you think of them.
Keyword Analysis Tool (http://www.seogeeks.com/tools/keyword-analysis/index.php), Website Analysis Tool (http://www.seogeeks.com/tools/website-analysis/index.php) and if you like them you can setup an account and the program will keep past searches and analysis for you.

This tool tries to answer the question of what determines how competitive a keyword is? What are the things you look at to determine kw competition.

Thanks to everyone on these forums who helped a php noob put together this tool.

Ryan

Thanks for checking the tools out and for the compliments! Anybody who wants to add these tools to their website is certainly welcome! Thanks Resalebroker for the consideration.

I've noticed a lot of the people who come to the site, are not getting to see the results because they don't put their API in. Just to let everyone know, the tools do require a Google API key. Also, I will not use your API for anything else, it's just for the searches you do. Like Shawn says, I can think of about 10000 different things to do besides developing some tool to get your API. I don't have any use for more API's anyway :D .

Let me know if you have any problems, suggestions, questions, etc...

You can sign up and learn more about Goggle API here:
https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=http://api.google.com/createkey&followup=http://api.google.com/createkey

It's used for the Keyword Tracker that Digital Point provides.

Nice tools but the Kw Analysis could be better if it were able to differentiate between URLs with and without the www.prefix. In my case all my links are without the www. prefix but your tool reports that the site is not ranked since it cannot find the link with the www. prefix.

I'm a little confused, do you mind giving an example? You can PM me if you don't want to let everyone know what kw you are ranking for.
