$20 Logo Design (48 hours)

I need a logo for the website OnlineCollege.cc (http://onlinecollege.cc).

I have found that a logo looks good when you have three main elements: a graphic, the name of your site, and a slogan. Obviously, you know the name of the site. The slogan is: "Finding YOUR College." Using an image which shows the fun aspect of college life is what I would recommend but I am open to suggestions. I'll leave the color scheme up to your artistic creativity.

All questions and submissions must be submitted through the thread. I will not take any PM-ed designs or questions. This way I don't have to repeat myself and the general contest can benefit from your talent and insight.

The contest is for 48 hours or until a clear winner is decided on. Please let me know if you have any questions.

@ploomer: The overall logo is too basic for my taste, but thank you for your efforts.

@phyza: The design has too much of a corporate look. I am desiring something more light and colorful. You could even use something abstract like what you have in your own phyza logo. Something similar to that image would work as well.

@darike: I like these designs. Good use of your fonts, they flow well with your overall designs (a lot of designers struggle here). For both designs, I recommend putting the graphic to the left or right of the name and tagline. For the stars logo I recommend placing them to the right and for the flower logo to the left. I like the simplicity in your color scheme, but would like to try the logos with one or two more additional colors (they might be fine now but I want to see). Again, great designs and thank you for your efforts.

@The-Haunted: Thank you for joining the contest. I like the break in design you made by creating an overall imbalance feeling. I would actually remove the graduation cap, it seems to not fit with your overall design. Also, if you could caps every letter in "Your," since that is part of tagline.

Answer: Yes, I am a fan of web 2.0 glossy and reflective designs, but again it up to you if you decide to use it or not.

Answer: Dimitri I am glad you are considering to participate. To answer your question, no, the current theme will not be used. In fact, if you go to the site now you will see that I took it down so not to confuse future designers. Thank you for your question.

@Speno: Thanks for trying to give the logo a fun look. However, the logo looks too much like a rock band. Also, the font is too strong for the design.

@The-Haunted: This looks really good. I want to try one change. Could you have "Online" and "YOUR" be read, and "College" be white. Thanks.

@The-Haunted: Thank you for humoring me on the color changes. Also, thank you for adding the orange sample. No more changes are needed with this logo. So far your orange logo is the leading design.

@Speno: This actually works better than the rock band. However, not a fan of the blue, but I do like the green and red designs.

@dimitri123: I like this logo a lot. The only thing I don't care for is the font of "Online College". Could you show me the logo with some other fonts.

@lizzy4: Have more confidence in your work =). It's not bad. I don't care for the orange "bow tie" look. Also, if you could capitalize all the letters in "Your," I would appreciate it. Overall, not bad.
