We all know how important high page rank backlinks are. Here is my personal guide:

FEEL FREE TO ADD TO IT

An opportunity to build a strong journalism
portfolio writing stories that appeal to you.
A Tip Jar and link to your Web site - This can
mean additional $ payments and further
exposure of your talents.

Pay for your work - HappyNews.com does
not currently pay for freelance content. We
add tip jars and a link to the writer’s Web site
on each Citizen Journalist article. A tip jar
allows our readers to support your
contribution to HappyNews. All Tip Jar
payments will be made automatically into
your PayPal account. A Link to Your Web site
- This equals further exposure of your talents.

Looks like a nice and quick way to build a few quality backlinks but I can't see any SEO "spam" on these sites.
Are you sure they won't delete / censor content, backlinks, anchor text, etc. ?

I am 100% they won't. That's of course, if comments are a little more than just "nice blog"...

Goodwork dude. However the PR is for the mainpage. Example if you create a blog at fannation (its actually PR6) and backlink to your site its not a PR6 backlink but most probably max PR3 and below. Should be PR N/A for the first 3 month.

Yep, but do expect links with authority linking back to your site. My suggestion is to target links to your pages rather than direct to the homepage.

roie
Jan 14th 2009, 2:48 am
so posting in inner pages is ok, but just know you're not gonna benefit from the homepage PR - it's no more value then opening dozens of blog, posting replies in forums with sigs etc..

The last 3 blogs caught my interest. Is this dofollow blogs? Getting backlinks from high PR site is not important. It is from which page's PR is important and whether is it a dofollow or nofollow. Anyway, good research for high PR sites and thanks a lot for sharing it with us.

And I'm still waiting for your reply on this:

That says more about you than about her.
But tell me, what is it you don't get?
That some of these methods will have absolutely no effect on your ranking as Google can't pick 'em (the links) up? Or the fact that Angela doesn't even know how to look up the PageRank for a site and confuses a PR5 site with a PR10?
Don't you think that is pathetic? Don't you think people should be punished for telling lies on this forum. Some other people might waste hours (if not days) because of people like you and her.

Has anyone gone through the list and found any usefull links?

I assume all the news sites are no follow, creating blogs will get u a nice pr0 backlink, are the profile pages do follow? and whats their pr? 2-3?

perhaps im wrong anyone checked it out?

Unfortunetly some people need help with link building, i see so many people waste time chasing links that wont get them anywhere. Please dont waste your time people! Learn to work smart.

A few hints:

No follow links are useless - google designed the no follow tag specifically to eliminate link juice being passed on.

Home page PR of a site you have a deep link on is useless. Only the PR of the page that your link is actually on is all that matters.

Backlinks from unrelated sites do very little to rank your site in google.

Page rank of backlinks has little correlation between your serp possitions in google.

vagrant
Jan 26th 2009, 10:10 am
http://forums.digitalpoint.com has a PR6, and the back links do show up in google webmaster tools.... but just because the home page is a PR6 does not mean the back links are from a PR6 page.

Why do people promise many PR6+ links when in reality most of those links will only ever be PR ZERO or at best PR1, apart from the newbies fall for it ever time ??? or am i missing something ?

It s not difficult to build websites today.
It s more difficult to let the Internet
world know about your brainchild and get consistent traffic to it.

You cannot create a wonderful site and settle down in the hope that visitors
(and earnings) will flow like water.
How will people know about your site?
The answer is
You need to get your website indexed by search engines !

How do you find websites where you can add your keyword related backlinks?

There are several ways to create backlinks to your website:

* social bookmarking,
* pay per click,
* adding the website URL to web directories,
* submitting articles to article directories.

Another way for getting backlinks is commenting on blogs
and including the URL for your site.

Blog commenting is one of the easiest FREE ways to get themed links to your site.
All you need to do is to leave a comment on related blogs
and include some anchored text linking back to your site.
The other advantage is that some of the pages that you comment
on have high PageRank and "Dofollow"
We have created a service to facilitate the search for blogs with open Dofollow comments. Also, we have created a web shop to sell links to such blogs. I now have a unique offer - the entire store base in January - only 10$ US, I also accept orders for searches on your blog Dofollow topics and keywords.
Good luck to all -***tp://searchdofollowblogs.com

Google reports this same post as appearing on 821 sites (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22A+Tip+Jar+and+link+to+your+Web+site+-+This+can%22&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=). This means a couple of things...

First, the information is old. And that is backed up by some research I did on the sites listed in this post. Some are now nofollow while others do not permit URLs anymore.

Second, this is copy and paste forum promotion. This type of spam may look legit but its not. It also results in a boatload of duplicate content which wastes disk space for forums and search engines.

Do some research before wasting your time on this...

And by all means if you are not the original author, at least give them some credit by linking to his or her complete article.

Creating profile pages will not help your rankings because that page will stay at PR0 ......and even more, without some social bookmarking (or other methods), it will never be found by google.

Are you People for real?

All I read about in this thread is PR this, PR that,

Not once did anybody mention relevancy

Let me tell you... You will see far more benefit from a PR2 site that is relevant to your own than you will see from a PR 6 that has no relevancy to your own

In other words... if my website is about Diapers, then I want backlinks from websites that are Baby related, not from websites about auto mechanics

You People are way too fixated on PR

yenerich: when you say "I tried some and works fine", what do you mean? Do you see a change in your pages PR after you've added the backlinks?
