$150 Layout Competition

This layout competition is for a Paparazzi agency where fans submit there pictures they took of famous people from there cameras and cellphones. The images I provide are copyrighted material and can only be used in the design only. You are allowed to use the design comps with the images on your portfolios even if you don't win the competition.

Color scheme green, blue. Use the color orange for the buttons or red whatever looks better. I want the coolers to be enticing, Use green because is indicated money.

Please put a couple fake dollar bills or dollar signs and maybe a point and shoot camera ( amateur cheap camera not a professional one ) on the site and maybe a cellphone camera also.

Please use the images pictures in the folder. I want to definitely use the image of Lindsay Lohan hiding under the table with her girlfriend. You can also crop the other images if needed so they don't take up too much room on the page.

I want a button that's very visible that says submit your pictures.

Over the images you can put SOLD to show that these images where sold.

I also want to add the site needs to be GREEN you can use orange for the submit picture button and possible grey as the background color of the site. Here is the shades of green I like

Very good start. Maybe make the top a little bit higher so there is a little more header. in the text area maybe towards the top add some vector fake bills to show money, two of the images rotated in two different directions in the header. On the bottom maybe make the images a little bigger to where it says Sold will fit within the image. Try to make the nav bar more 3 dimensional.

Very good start I love the illustration of the cameras towards the top. At the bottom please make the orange around the images less noticeable and the image on the mid left side of the page maybe add a little stroke or something around it maybe very little drop shadow. At the upper ride side of the header looks empty make add something there text and graphics maybe a box and in side have fake dollars and have it say make $$$ from you celebrity photos. please change the logo to say youpaparazzi :)

Try doing something different with the header and navigation it looks a little empty. Also use a different font in the logo. Where it shows take a picture send etc make it look like it's in it's own section so you can draw peoples attention to the process of submitting. Also try a background color behind the site so it doesn't blend in with the background.

Very good work. The only suggestions I have are try a different shade of green for the background more like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_green on this page the one that says spring bud.

Also You might need to change the color of the nav bar if you change the color of the green. If you do change the color of the nav bar please make it orange.

also try a different texture in the background where the green is.

One last thing if you can position the hand and camera phone so it doesn't cover the name of the site that would be great :)

With the logo don't use the blur try something where you seperate the you from paparazzi maybe have the you a different font plus a space between paparazzi or have it (you) paparazzi something like that. Also with the replace the envelope with one with a emai symbol or a @ on it or something to show it needs to be emailed.

Much nicer!!! I like the way you have the sparkles in the header very nice. Some suggestions now would be to change the color of the nav bar to orange. Also the bottom of the site needs a little work. Make the images wider and more square and theres a little too much grey towards the bottom of the page.

Very good try a different font for the buttons and and the logo. Make You in the logo bigger and try a different font. Make the submit pictures buttton bigger and have it say submit picture or video.

how's the curtain going to fit in all resolutions ? ex 1680x1050.

Nope :P The two sides each of the curtan, plus the middle part are different layers, so the middle stays in middle, at any resolution, plus the two sides at the their respective sides..

the only way to make the curtain fits different resolutions...... simple make a curtain 2000px wide then center the background using css and thats it. btw why 2000px i think its the widest a common resolution may become as of now. theres always a css solution to everything. but not all. so be careful when using images on backgrounds and etc. it applies to all designers here. Just sharing some tips

Just a suggestion for jay, how about you connect the navigation/rss box and the content box using a bind-style? like this (http://www.drivinginstructortraininginfo.com/images/new%20ebook%20cover.jpg) Surely it would look great since the site is based on a whole 'album' concept, and most of the modern albums are binded, so yeah... it'd look awesome. good luck jay, you got a really lovely design there ;)

Wow this one is amazing!!!!

Please comp a subpage where the content will be placed. Also try different colors in the logo. Also please change the color to orange for the submit photos button. Also use the @ symbol over the envelope. I don't need a serach box remove that and extend the text to where the search box is. I will use that area to put important information. On the left hand side of the page where it says RSS feeds please remove RSS feeds and put inportant tips and use a different graphic rather than that piece of pie. The logo if you can try something different as in font make it sparkle and looking showbiz looking. Where it says earn money if you can leave out coins and maybe use a stack of cash opr a few bills faned out. Also with the take a snap camera put a camera phone and use a different camera.

I really like the color combination. Try a different font for the logo, the large image on the left of the text make it a little higher so it's not outside of the color section. Make the corners of the images rounded, the top right of the page add something there maybe an illustration with the images or amera camers and cellphone camera. Also make the submit pictures and video button a little bigger. There needs to be THREE arrows showing ACTION showing the user

1. SNAP A PHOTO ==>>> 2. SUBMIT A PHOTO===>>> 3. SELL A PHOTO====>>>>

Where it says sold for $$$ on the corner of the images please don't make it into a loop just have the strip go from one corner to the other.

Number #118 please try another font I don't like the logo. Please send me a link of fonts you use and I can pick one. Also I don't like the button Submit Your Pictures. Those are the only two things I would l;ike to be fixed. Maybe change the font in the button or the color of the text in the button. Also I don't like the black arrows in the center opf the page you can remove those.

For the rest of eberyone if I haven't commented on your design it's because the design would have to be completly redone. Most of the ones I didn't respond to used dark colors like black in the design. Number 118 is the closest to the color scheme. If you haven't enetered or you started a design and need a couple days let me know. This competition is almost over so please everyone either enter or make the changes so I can pick a winner :)
