Hey, happy new year.
What do you think of my Domain name/branding
for my website? It's an online guitar course.

Domain is GuitarSuccess.com

Does this domain sound cheesy, etc?

Thanks

That would be a great site as long as you are trying to sell a product. I think its a little much for like say a forum or blog. It makes me feel like I will be successful by getting the guitar product you may be providing, so yes - good domain.

name is decent if you're going to put content on it...

if you are trying to sell it you won't get much.

Good combination of a subject/market and result/goal. I can see young (especially) and new players checking out the site. Nice.

I like your domain name. I think it could be good for people that want to learn how to use guitars and the success they can achieve by getting the information you have on your site. I think quality content is key!

just think of the main keyword you wanna use when people will search you on google and get the domain name to include that keyword if possible.

I don't think it sounds cheesy. I'd suggest putting a "tm" mark in the header graphic next to "Guitar Success" and then also next to every use of the term "Guitar Success". It's definitely a phrase that you should start building up some intellectual property protection on... that way if your site gets big you don't have to worry about someone trying to putup a site on guitarsuccess.tv.
