It's a film website. My girlfriend and I are offering film services to the internet world. We're not pro but we're trying to get there.
I will probably want this done with 2 columns.
Don't forget room for a header (BTW You don't need to design a logo or fancy word thing. It'd be nice but not needed and will not help you win. Just need a nice background header to work with for later.)
Theme: Darker colors like http://www.colourlovers.com I want the content to stick out more. For example if I had videos on the site I don't want the color of the design to stand out more than the video. I also want the text to be readable without giving our clients a headache. I feel the current design gives clients a headache. It's not much of a design either.
Prize: $25 through paypal.
What needs to be done?
Just a design in PSD. No slicing or coding. I don't want it complicated but I don't want it to be something like the current look.
If this takes you more than an hour to do, don't compete. I feel bad for people who spend 6-15 hours on a template competition that is only paying out $20-$30. I personally design and compete. But at the moment, I'm swamped with orders from my businesses. I want to get this site done asap.
In fact if I like where you're going with it. I won't ask for revisions, I'll just revise it myself and award you the prize.
This contest will run until Sunday. I also reserve the right to refuse a prize to anyone (in the case that people just throw up anything without the slightest attempt). Once I choose a winner I expect the transaction to complete within 2 days. If you can't deliver within 48 hours, don't compete.
Feedback will be given after the contest to all entries. Why? Because I feel it discourages competition and takes up a lot of thread space. This will also give everyone a chance to understand why I did or didn't choose them. I believe in a more constructive feedback. So please don't post "Feedback appreciated", if you decide to do that then I will not provide any to you at the end of the contest. I also enjoy using the reputation. If I see people not reading my rules I will give red. If you follow it, you'll get green.
