www.ffshrine.org/ff7/ff7.php

if you click on the ad, sometimes it'll go to the url. but other times, it'll open the new page INSIDE the frame. I can't seem to figure out why it's different sometimes but not others.

any ideas what could be the problem, and how I could fix it?

I could change it to open in a new window but I'd rather have it open in the current one if possible..

I don't know if it is a factor, but that URL is completely broken in Netscape 7.1.

That's interesting I just tried it again and it does load properly now. Very strange.

I checked the page that you link to in your posting with IE 6, NS 6.1, NS 7.2 and Mozilla 1.5. Something appears to be wrong with your PHP parsing.

About every third time I load the page, it partially renders and then breaks and fills with what looks like encrypted code. The source code looks scrambled as well. But when it loads correctly, the source looks fine. This happens in all four browsers that I used for the test.

I've never seen that happen before. This may be what compar referred to. You need to check that out.

I didn't get to your banner link problem.

That is exactly what I saw the first time I attempted to load it. But I couldn't describe it so accurately.

Thanks, I thought maybe the problem was on my end.

I fixed the encrypted code problem actually, that isn't the one that I'm having problem with now.. it's just that the ad isn't opening normally, the page is opening where the ad is- the whole page doesn't move.

mushroom: er, I could try it I guess, but I don't see how a class definition would change how a link opens?

I checked it several times with IE 6, NS 7.1 and Mozilla 1.5. Both the page and the banner ad appear to be working correctly, but I did see an error 404 for your banner ad image a few times.

When I clicked on the banner, I was redirected to the new page every time.

What was the cause for the "encryped code" problem? This might be useful to know just in case I run into the problem myself.
