$30 Logo Contest - Logo for Eco Directory with matching Favicon and Button

I need a new logo for my directory the Big Eco Directory (http://www.bigecodirectory.com), I also need a matching favicon and button graphic which people will use to link to me.

Here are the criteria:

Logo for the directory, max size of 350px (width) × 130px (height)
Something attractive and represents the niche of the site
Any colours you want, as long as it fits the site properly
Text for logo: Big Eco Directory
No tagline
Favicon: (definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon)) - must represent the directory in some way, perhaps a portion or aspect of the main logo.
Button: I need a button that people will use to link to the directory. Maximum of 90px (width) x 40px (height)
Appearance of logo, button and favicon must be consistent.

I'm after something bright and eyecatching. So can you work on something that's really bold?

Good choice of logos. I think that the choice of red and blue don't quite fit. Certainly a bold concept.

Nice and bold graphic. I think that the green might be a little too bright. What's the graphic? Certainly bold, but not sure what it is?

The icon is pretty good. The text doesn't look quite right though.

Great concept, but I don't think they'll fit with the context of the directory. I was after something simpler and bold.

The text is different (compared to the others), but the bush and the birds don't seem to quite fit. Perhaps something simpler?

The colours seem too pale/bright, "The" is missing (see later note above), but the text is nice and thick, which I like. I don't like the icon though, after something bold but simple.

Good choice of icon, I like that. I don't like the font used for the text so much. Try something creative with the text. e.g.

I like the font you used for ECO. However, the logo seems out of balance...

I like the use of yellow for ECO and the use of the "directory" word, but I prefer the simplicity of the graphic on the right (i.e. no white line or gradient). I would like to see these in the context of the graphics on the directory please, just like your idea above.

Nice and simple logo graphic, that would be ideal for a favicon too. The colours seem a little too washed out though, and the text isn't that eye-catching. (Trying to offer constructive feedback, I'm not trying to be nasty).
