Hi

We all known domains of the yahoo depends on the country you live... There is a main domain .com which indicates the US domain. I m an Indian I may chose .co.in as my domain. keep in mind that the above specified domains are completely different from each other. I have suffered a lot due to this difference so guys be specific in giving your email id...............

So, you are saying that you can't choose .com extension? I think .com is international.

same with gmail. While you register an email in UK/US, you get googlemail.com as the extention. While if you go from India servers, you get gmail.com (this is quite awsome lol)

I didn't know that Gmail is for Indians and googlemail is for US/UK - so that's a good post, though you can always use a proxy to have a Gmail.

Well, its better to ask a friend to register it for you rather than go and find a specific site for proxy. It maybe also that registration goes something random in between as there are proxy servers which would come out with a message that "we dont allow post service, please upgrade to premium account for that feature". So its basically a kind of secret which you can keep in mind ... :D

That's stupid. My question is:

If you try to register some unique random stuff like 85zhfsuh@yahoo.com, will it be taken if you try to register it under 85zhfsuh@yahoo.co.in ?

I am in Australia and we have gmail. It does sound better than googlemail, I wonder why they did that?

You should choose US for the .com and then later make your country as you want. Then they will give you .com extention.

Although, just see that you are not registering on yahoo.co.in, go on yahoo.com

He means that once you select your country as India you'll only have the option of owning a .in account. You can, however, choose another country out the list and get .com.
