Feed has been submitted 1 or 2 years ago. The problem is more complicated than only a feed.

Your site may be banned for some reason.
Anyways, try building more quality links directly to the pages you want to index.

If your site is under a filter, you can't do anything even if you build links to the site. At least, during a couple of months.
But if you stop building links at all, you will never become visible dependless of the filters.
So go ahead and build more inner links. Check your on site links. Submit a sitemap.

The google slurp visits my site every hour. Is this typical?
Does that mean they will ad my links?

@SugarUK
Thanks for the inner page tip. The main site I SEO is ranking at #2 for its main phrase in Google (which is great) but in the 4th page on Yahoo and it's an inner page that ranks. Always wondered what I might be need to do to get it higher. I'll try that.
