What is backup withholding?

Its probably just taxes. I think they hold it back because you didn't give them your FEIN or SS numbers yet. Not sure how they work but thats my gut feeling.

I gave them my SSN but I didn't check the "I'm exempt from backup witholding" box.

Now that I checked that one, let's see how much money went to my bank account.
