Log in help, please!

I've got a strange problem..............don't even know if this is the correct forum in which to ask the question, or not, but here goes:

Many moons ago, when I wasn't using Yahoo as my default mail account, I joined a Yahoo Group. I set up my username and password, just as is always expected. Then, a couple of years later, I decided to stop using my default e-mail account and go to Yahoo. I set up a username and password for the account, only they weren't the same as the one I was using on the Yahoo Group. So now, when I go to the Yahoo Group, I have to open the window and sign out first..........then close the window..........then open the window and sign in with my old username and password. When I'm finished, I have to sign out. Then when I get back to my Yahoo e-mail account, I now how to sign in all over again........instead of having Yahoo just remember me and keep me signed in.

Can anyone explain to me how I can fix it so both Yahoo accounts have the same username and password?

Frankly I thought it was as clear as I could explain it. Don't know how to make it much more clear. Could you be more specific as to what additional information you need?

I really don't get you.. lol. Umm, I think.. maybe try signing in your "Yahoo Groups" and change the password same as your new "Yahoo mail" :S I don't think you can change the username to be the same. I think this is what you meant.. Or just create a new account in Yahoo Groups.. :S

At the risk of being boring, I'll try and be more specific.

About two years ago I joined a Yahoo Group forum on a subject in which I had interest. I set up a username and password to use the forum. At the time, I wasn't using Yahoo e-mail, but was using Outlook Express. I wasn't involved in any other Yahoo Groups. Then, about 4 months ago, I decided I wanted to stop using Outlook Express and set up a Yahoo e-mail account with a different username and different password. All was well..........that is, until I went to my Yahoo Group forum and was welcomed with my Yahoo e-mail username. Needless to say, I couldn't get into the Yahoo Group forum. So now, to get into the Yahoo Group forum, I have to pull up the forum and then sign out. Then I have to close the forum window. Open the forum window and sign in with my forum username and password. Then, of course, when I finish there and go back to my e-mail account, I have to sign in with my new user name and password because I'm welcomed with my forum username and password.

I've tried changing the user name and password in the forum to the same one as my e-mail, but can't seem to do it. (the accounts are based on e-mail addresses, so there can't be two accounts with the same e-mail address) My goal is to be able to switch from one to the other, since they are both Yahoo, without all the inconvenience of logging in and logging out. Is that possible?

as i understand, u cant switch in two accounts. you have to login and logout from first account and then login into sencond account.
