Why is that. MSN generally converts best but it all depends on the niche. Yahoo traffic generally converts better then Google but you will never get as much of it.

How about you back it up with some sort of an evidence? I think the relevancy of the search results have a big impact on the quality of visitors resulting from that search and Google fairs much better in that sense. Yahoo searches are still filled with spam/junk returns.

Traffic from search engines is very important for every web site definitely!
But I don't think that Yahoo! is very important as Google.

For example: Yesterday to my site from search engines comes 564 visitors and that 533 from Google and only 10 from Yahoo! So it's huge advantage for Google :)

It doesn't matter which search engine traffic comes from. They are all good. The only different is some people are using Google search engine and some are using Yahoo search engine. You say Google traffic is good and important, maybe because your drive traffic method is targeting more on Google traffic. That is why you have more traffic from Google search engine. This can't differentiate which search engine is better. It is only the matter that where do you drive your traffic from.

it's depend on the target visitor of each site. if you think your visitor most came from yahoo you should focus on yahoo SE. but i think most people still stick with google since their got most market share search.

In my opinion the search results are better at Yahoo and the traffic quality is better (more time on site). With that said Yahoo can only provide me with between 10-20% of my traffic. I really wished more people used yahoo search or even better MSN.

Google are bullies and they know they have the upper hand on everything, so they do what they want and don't care if you complain. Google is only good because they have the traffic...volume..quantity, not quality. I just wish MSN had more volume, but I guess it evens out..traffic to conversions.

I agree with That also. I also notice that when a website is a shopping niche site, most of its traffics came from yahoo. But in terms of images, google image search drive most of the traffic. So, OPTIMIZE WELL YOUR IMAGES.
