Google Adsense Tax Question

I posted this in another thread, but decided to make my own post. It's only right, right? XD

Ok so I have a question. My Google Adsense account is in my mother's name, but do I need to put her social security number in or mine (currently it's mine)? And will she or I have to pay taxes? I filled out a W-9 form and I put exempt from backup witholding..but I'm not sure if I will still pay taxes. I don't think I should because I won't go over the $600 mark. But if so, when will I pay taxes if I don't go over the $600 mark or the 1099 whatever XD? Does Google take the taxes out before I get the check?

Edit: Btw: I live in the USA, I don't work (have never worked), I don't have bank account info, I have a forum and a website I'm using for google adsense, I currently have $30 or so in my adsense account, and I plan to take it out when I reach $130, and I've never paid taxes or got an accountant for that matter XD. Yeah, I'm in a pickle XD. What's the best advice for me? I don't want the IRS coming around knocking on my door...my mom would be so pissed..XD

The IRS won't care about your measly $130. If you put down your mother's SSN, she will be the one responsible for taxes. Technically, you must report all income in your tax filings, unless you make less than $600 total from all combined earning sources for the entire year.

Since you used your mom's info, and I assume she has a job making more than $600 a year, she will be responsible for paying taxes on the Adsense income. Google may or may not send her a 1099 in January for the money you made. If she gets a 1099 from them, she may be a little upset and ask you where that came from, but big deal, she'll pay like $5 in extra taxes and be done with it. They probably won't send one for that little of an amount.
