Looking for Awesome Spyware/AV Program

My mom-in-law has this really old "Hell" P3 machine that is crawling with all kinds of mess. Is there anything out there that I can dload for free for her to clean this machine up.

I keep seeing little triangles and other crap showing up in taskbar with ambiguous alerts that are misspelled.

Look down the list for Web based Virus and Trojan Scanners... Run the first 3 Online scans...i.e. ( Panda Active Scan , Trend Micro House Call Virus Scanner & BitDefender Free On-line Virus Scan)...

I'd also download Spybot Search & Destroy, Ad-Aware SE, Ewido Security Suite and maybe A-Squared... Install them then look for updates and run them...


You can find these on the same site under Adware, Spyware, Trojan, and Hijacker Scanners...

Just a note, these do take quite a bit of time to run all of them so have some other things to keep you busy while waiting...
Also you may want to download them to your machine, then burn a CD of the installers and take to it her machine and install them from there... This way you will have a CD that you can take to other machines if you need to...

The three programs I use are Free AVG, Adware, Spyware. You might also want to try a firewall like free Zonealarm.

Sygate is also a good free Firewall... Download Sygate (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3356.html)...

I used Zonealarm for years and had a couple of problems so I switched to Sygate and it works just as well... Also AVG as mentioned by websiteideas is an excellent Free Anti-Virus which you can find at the link I provided...

free AVG is da best, pair with spybot you will have no problem

spybot search nd destry or microsoft anispyware or ad-aware ... + have a firewall .. and dont visit po*n sites , and other illegal site lol . :)
