$50 Logo & Header Contest, Multiple Winners + $15 Slogan Contest - Gadgets/Tech Blog

Hey Guys,

This contest is for my site -Giz4Geeks.com (http://www.Giz4Geeks.com) (Latest gadgets, gizmos and tech for geeks!)

Right so here is what I need, a headed & logo for my gadgets/tech blog that is my pride and joy.

I need the logo to be brandable as I will be using it everywhere, maybe a cartoon geek in there or something i don't know surprise me, and i need it to be neatly housed in a really good looking header.

Please go all out on this one guys, I need this to be special, it needs to be something that people will remember,
I have huge plans for my site so it will becomes very well known all over the net so it HAS to look good.

Specification/Needs within the Header

Here is the current header - click here (http://www.giz4geeks.com/wp-content/themes/BlueGrey/images/board_bg.png) the sizes of this header are 1000px × 167px which is what the new one has to be, no big no smaller.
Please note you will notice that there is an indent in the right hand side of the image which will have to STAY in the new one in the exact same position.

Withing the header I need a menu for about 6 pages, maybe along the bottom, I don't know lol you guys are the experts.

The color scheme is blue throughout the site so try to blend it in well with the site.

Files that I need will be

-logo on its own PSD & PNG image
-headed on its own PSD & PNG image
-both combined PSD & PNG image

I am open to choosing more than one header if they take my fancy and i will put them on my site rotating, but they have to go together nicely so please do send in more than one entry.


THE PRIZE.

I will give $50 to the 1st place winner of my choice for the header and the logo

I will also give $20 each to any other winners that I chose for just there headers.

Payment is via paypal, once i have chosen a winner i will PM them and then tell everyone on here.

BONUS.

$10 to anyone who can come up with a good catchy slogan for the site.


I will give detailed feedback on each entry usually within a few hours of the post.

Thanks for the logo entry, it looks good but i think it needs a more of a gadgets feel to it.

The size of the header you put versa the size on your site is different. So did you want to keep the header that same blue because there would still be alot left there. Your picture only shows the top of the indent.. let me know and i'll see what i can do..

Thanks for spotting that, I never knew that and have looked into it and have found that yes there is a lower part to the header.

Please keep this the same size, everything in this header can go apart from the right hand side search box. Don't know if i have explained this ok lol so if there is any confusing please do contact me.

Thanks for your entry, I like it but could we get a cartoon geek in there maybe or something along those lines?

I just want it to be really unique and brandable.....so eventually when people see it they know who it is without the name you know?

Oh and here is the whole header as the one above is only part of it, (my fault sorry!)
Click here for it - the sizes are 1000px × 230px, (http://www.giz4geeks.com/images/header.png) and once again the right hand side search box has to stay but the rest can go even the wiggly lines.

I like the slogan font but am not to sure about the Giz4Geeks font, can you have a play around with that (only the G's need to be capitals as well)

We are defiantly along the right lines now,

Could i see the ''Giz4Geeks'' it in the same font as the slogan, and maybe the kind of font found in this header - click here (http://www.total-geek.com/images/banners/computer%20geek%20banner.png) i don't mean it has to be this color just try that style.

Na i this one is better its just the ''4'' doesn't look like a ''4'' if you know what i mean....maybe a very similar font and what do you think to the black do you think it is too dark?

Also guys I'm not trying to drag this contest out, I just want to make sure i have seen everything before i chose on one you know its a big project lol hope you all understand.

One other thing that i will reply to ALL entries it just may take a little while as the past day i have been having ''database error'' when logging on to my thread.
